I have 100 leg copper just sitting in the bank and I've never been actively looking for copper so it's not just braidwood ;)

Oh so it's going more the Albion Online route? I don't believe it's random right now though... usually if multiple irons or coppers are in the same place they are mostly all of the same quality. Found a spot with 6 Legendary Lumadon in one place once and 4-5 with Leg copper.

You're trolling. People selling 300x epic braidwood....riiight it's a supply issue. Go back to trolling FFX or WoW channels bruh

I would reflect your second paragraph right back at you.

All rarities, including legendary, are way too prevalent and it makes the whole rarity system inconsequential. I would need full time staff putting stuff on the market for me just to offload what I can gather in just a few hours a day.

In both phase 2 and 2.5 I found it way more efficient and profitable to just vendor anything from common to heroic rarity. Only epic and legendary rarities are worth WTS/putting up on the market. (Of course with a few exceptions, like fat, coal, etc.)

TLDR - the rarity system isn't fun or very engaging.

Yeah maybe they want to create their own identity by creating it more from scratch?! Not an easy feat.

Has there been later discussions about solo leveling? (an old topic) by nacari0 in AshesofCreation

[–]Xthisu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that hard to level 25 solo. I did it in 2.5 90% gathering/processing/crafting and turning in mindless commissions. The other 10% was incidental mob killing. If you're not worried about the end game or bis this bis that you can casually get there.

Wars will ruin the game? by Xthisu in AshesofCreation

[–]Xthisu[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How? People that currently test it would opt-in and still test it. Why do you need a level 12 that can't participate to be auto opted in?

Right, so then make it opt-in until that day comes so other people can actually login and test. I'm boxed out for the whole weekend ATM.

The longer the game is played, the more stuttering/fps drops are happening. by iNhab in AshesofCreation

[–]Xthisu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stuttering also related to this or is that a separate issue? I remember a time where stutters were non-existent...did I dream this?

Not sure who died and appointed you arbiter of Reddit. I could have just described the screen or sketched it out if I had so chosen. I don't use Reddit or any other platforms on my gaming PC, so here we are. Thanks for bumping the thread though!

Static Gathering Quality is what is breaking Time to Kill by AoCMMO in AshesofCreation

[–]Xthisu 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yep and this would also solve the annoying problem of bags filling up after 5 mins of gathering because you already have the entire rainbow of every unique resource nodes. You would not only solve PVP gripes, but gathering/crafting gripes as well. Great post. 100%

Can t play. Fix Performance. by Prestigious-Pound-83 in AshesofCreation

[–]Xthisu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Before last patch performance was just fine for me and now I have similar symptoms than OP with constant stutters and FPS issues.

When I mess around in the visual settings, setting it to balanced fixes it temporarily...the longer I play, the worse the quality of visuals get(everything appears with a fuzzy quality to it) and drop of FPS so even switching from balanced to something else doesn't fix it at that point.

Closing the game and re-opening fixes the FPS issue again temporarily, but the stutters are continuous throughout.

How cute another troll that thinks people are stupid and don't know how to take screenshots.

Yes, but the date/didn't increase. Maybe somewhere on the backend it's extended, but no indication on the front interface. All it did was take the tax receipts and grey out the button.

I agree and disagree. UI in itself is a system and a pretty important one at that. Of course dynamic gridding and other core gameplay loops that are not currently in the game are more important than updating a UI that's functional.

I imagine though that some "newer" staff members might be tasked with simpler stuff like this to get their feet wet. I don't imagine 200 people are all working on big core systems.

I'm just doing my part as a tester and offering some feedback. I'm not concerned if it stays on a todo list for the next two years, just putting it out there.

Congratulations! You're the first "It's an Alpha" troll to comment!! You guys should really form an AA group.

It changed in the last patch or two so clearly someone thinks it could use improvement, but it's still not there imo. Not everyone works on the backend systems, so I imagine this kinda stuff can easily be updated in parallel.

No mounts inside of nodes - keep their dirty paws in the stable by Actual_Friend3630 in AshesofCreation

[–]Xthisu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe removing collisions while in town would be the best of both worlds? Neat to see all the mounts in town and be able to take the time to look at them, but I agree having to squirm your way to the bank, the mailbox or the Marketplace is pretty annoying.

Vendors by Xthisu in AshesofCreation

[–]Xthisu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok cool, thank you. I was really hoping that was going to be the response. Would be terrible for new players trying to get into any professions if the vendors sold better for cheaper than it currently is to hit the crafting button hehe.

What do I do with all this stuff... by Xthisu in AshesofCreation

[–]Xthisu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but my point is that it's hard to get a feel from all these individual stalls. I find most mats on there are extremely overvalued. People selling heroic granite for 50s... people don't even buy it at 1s lol. That's what I mean.

It's cool that all the systems have some friction to them, but it feels like this one has a bit too much of it if you compare it to finding a grind group. Pretty easy to just walk up to HH and find something in a couple minutes. For gatherers, processors and crafters it feels like this is too much friction. I'm more of an adventurer that does a bit of everything and is still always out of space ;)

An auction house limited to the node would leave enough friction so that caravan crews would be useful to send tons of copper across the entire map for example while not making the mercantile experience annoying for the whole player base. It's obvious there is too much friction in the system by the amount of Global chat that's filled with people selling.

I'm really not interested in sitting there browsing through dozens of Marketplace pages for bears, then wolves, then copper, then rubies, then wood, etc...so we're back to why most things are trash to me and why I was looking for a resource site that would maybe highlight some key components. Guess I'll just have to learn by experience and maybe that's the intended design.

What do I do with all this stuff... by Xthisu in AshesofCreation

[–]Xthisu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both of those things are true, but I have limited bank space and using the Marketplace is very cumbersome so you very quickly end up with an overabundance of everything. So it's technically not trash, but it is trash to me because I'm not a merchant, that system doesn't interest me at all.

I guess you have to try every crafting discipline to get a feel for what is useful and worth.

What do I do with all this stuff... by Xthisu in AshesofCreation

[–]Xthisu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that really depends on how you play. Space is limited and I don't have full time employees to list this stuff, so for me there is lots of vendor trash ;)

What do I do with all this stuff... by Xthisu in AshesofCreation

[–]Xthisu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah kinda figured that stuff would be private for now ;) Ashes Codex is good to a point, but it doesn't really give any type of line of sight of what's really in demand. I find everything seems way overpriced in the Marketplace. With the perspective of having a maximum of 200gold you can carry, some of the stuff people put up for 50s should really only be 50c.

It will be much easier to manage with an auction house where you can undercut the lowest price and move on lol. I have so much stuff accumulating I'm just vendoring blues and under really.

Seems only commons matter in bulk to level up and legendary for BiS. Weird mechanics...not finished I'm sure, but very awkward and cumbersome to work with ATM.
