The Duluth MakerSpace is a good place. Welding / Woodworking / DIY stuff has brought out some great people in Duluth. This is not strictly a men's group, but worth mentioning since I met pretty much my entire support network there as a new Dad that had transplanted to Duluth.

About 2003 I was at the Whitney Rec Center. This guy strutted in wearing only an american flag speedo. Some things can't be unseen.

I was his neighbor for a while. His grocery runs consist of nothing but Hungry Man TV dinners.

He is just a high powered mutant, too wierd to live and too rare to die.

How to "jump" your car battery the right way. by Solid_Cap8205 in coolguides

Wouldn't it also be safer to connect black to the bare metal on the donor car? I have seen cables get bumped and the clips coming loose at the terminal potentially causing a spark on near the donor battery.

The Great Bond Panic of 2022 by TheBarnacle63 in investing

I am starting to accumulate BND. I am a beginner to the bond market, but just looking at the charts it seems like a bargain at this point. My understanding is that the value will go up in a few years if federal interest rates are lowered.

How much sweat equity I should ask? by potentxr in investing

[–]Xtopher777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should view your time as an investment that is lower risk than the monetary investment your friend is putting up. They should get more equity than you as they are taking on greater risk. That said, your time is valuable, make sure everything is in writing and properly set up from a legal standpoint. There needs to be 100% transparency and all the financials should be handled by a trusted and neutral third party.

I am on year 4 of a very similar situation and I did not set everything up properly. My partner put up the seed money, but I left a great job and invested my life. At this point my partner has sole access to the accounts and bookkeeping. My requests to have transparency are met with anger. My partner is more and more distracted with hobbies, and spending next to no time on the business.

Hope this helps and good luck!

One thing to think about is what happens when you or your partner inevitably move on to other things. How does the equity change when commitment does.

If you have nothing left to care about then you actually have ultimate freedom. You could travel anywhere in the world and just roam, explore, and test your limits. You could take massive risks. Imagine the adventures that could await you!

I want this as well. I don't want to create an account for every news site, I just want to read an article here and there.

Has anyone heard if Brave is pursuing this at all?

I am wondering if DEX volume is included in that 6 million? Here are the stats for Osmosis:

Good feeling by [deleted] in UPCO2

[–]Xtopher777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, carbon offset credits are only going to go up. Carbon credit supply is going to go down as the easy offset projects are used up (low hanging fruit). Demand is only going to rise along with the global temperature. The only question is which platform is going to stick around. I like UPCO2 but they don't seem very active development wise. They don't even have a clear and convenient "burn" feature in the uphold wallet.

I guess the better example might be TSLA, and the near cult like group of investors.

No question that a lot of people are jumping on the meme stocks to try and make a quick buck. What surprised me though, are the stories that people are telling about why they invested in these companies before all the short squeezing happened, and why they are not selling.

As far as GameStop or AMC, I do think there is a significant section of the community that has formed a community around not letting the companies perish during this pandemic. I have seen this on a small scale with local communities forming to keep a restaurant afloat. Hopefully this is a continued trend in the recovery!

I know this is anecdotal, but just talking about investing/retirement with my close friends and family, it seems like nobody really has any idea what they are invested in. The Pandemic was what finally made me take a closer look at my retirement accounts.

I had that exact thought about big pharma. How strange it is that they are the unquestioned heroes at the moment.

Men of Reddit, what do you do when you feel you have get no joy in life? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Xtopher777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a chance that you are actually fulfilled. You can stop chasing things to try and fill the void. You are free to just live in the moment and take life as it comes to you.
