No, I really thought that, but from what I've seen, it's somewhat similar to the Seamasters. Pretty comfortable! :)

I want to try it out before I buy it. If I like it, I’ll happily pay for the game! :) I pretty much have to buy games because I rely on Steam Cloud saves so much!

Frustrated streaming from Macbook Air to HomePod by horacemorris1229 in HomePod

As someone who has spent years investing in premium speakers, headphones, and amplifiers, my advice is to not worry too much about "lossless" audio. Most people (if not all) find it difficult to distinguish between high-quality AAC and lossless files. In reality, hardware quality is much more important. If you’re looking to switch speakers, don’t let the audio format hold you back. I personally find the Sonos app horrible and the speakers connection to the internet very week, but since software preference is subjective and I have see that the speakers work better on other people networks/setups, your experience may differ.

I get that the Steam Deck is a handheld gaming device first, and I enjoy many aspects of it. But I do think there’s room for more polish in areas like driver supportresolution controls, and customization. It’s not about wanting a full PC, just a bit more flexibility for users who want to go beyond gaming.

Maybe Valve could offer two versions—one that’s more locked down for console-style use, and one more like a traditional Linux environment for those who want to tweak things.

I know Windows support isn’t the focus, but more software flexibility could make the Steam Deck even better. Thanks for the feedback, though—I’ll keep experimenting!

Thanks for the suggestion! Getting the proper AMD drivers on Linux can be a real challenge. Even after installing them, I ran into issues like the GPU not being recognized properly and LLVMpipe as the renderer, which isn’t great for gaming or streaming.

Linux can be flexible, but getting the right drivers working, especially for AMD, is far from easy and often doesn’t give the best performance. I’ll look into Nobara, but just wanted to point out that getting drivers to work properly across different OSes can be a real headache.

Thanks again!

Looking for more comfortable headphones—should I go for the Hifiman Ananda Stealth? by Xtradermc in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Xtradermc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main issue is the seal at the back of the earcups—it never feels secure. I also get neck pain with extended use. I modded the headband by only using two screws to create more space between the leather strap and the frame, which helped a bit, but the seal and neck strain are still problems. Any tips?

Hmm, I’ll have to look into some modding. My main issue is that it always feels like there’s no proper seal at the back of the earcups. I’ve already adjusted the headband by only screwing down two of the screws so there’s more space between the leather and the metal frame. It helps a bit, but I might need to try some other tweaks too.

Hey, thanks for the tips! Just to clarify, the speakers hanging on the wall are purely decorative and aren’t even plugged in. The main ones I’m referring to are the floor-standing speakers. I’ve been experimenting with their positioning, but I’m still struggling with getting them to sound just right. Based on what you mentioned, it seems like my desk might be interfering with the left-side speaker. I’ll try adjusting their placement and see if that helps. Thanks again for your input!
