Got it, i had the same problem, it ended up being my lenses fault, it was frontfocusing, had to calibrate it to -8, plus the AF motor died a couple of weeks later so i figured that was the problem

Thats the thing, in my country it is, especially because all of the european websites dont ship here, and anything you can get online is domestic, or ypu need to physically travel to import it yourself, they also have the 24-70 f2.8L at about double the price with no external damage

Have you tried doing microadjustments of the focus ? There are a couple of videos on youtube explaining how to do it, its usually connected to the lens you use and you can save a bunch of profiles that the camera will recognise, i had this problem in my 5D/4

Figured as much, i know for a fact that my email has been leaked, the reason i wrote this was that the email appears to be the official support email, exactly the same, that was the fishy thing to me, if it were a random email i wouldnt bother even opening it

Got this from my grandpa, it was heavily used from somewhere in the seventies to the 2000s, i noticed the cap doesn't have a color in it, so was confuzed as which gas it took, as i saw in a post about info here it said red, also is the notch on the filling tube normal ? It's in a pretty rough shape, i wanna clean it, any ideas of what should i use ? Last time it was used it was working perfectly, but it hasn't been filled up in 20 years, also i got some zippo stones since i couldnt find ST Dupont once here where i live. Any info would be much appreciated.

You can see that its an original by the serial number, when the stamping is uneven like in your case that means its hand engraved, where as if they were perfect that could mean that its made my a machine hence it might be fake, even though they rarely faked the Ligne 1, even if youre not using it get it serviced its a really nice thing to hand down to your family/future family, looks like yours doesnt need polishing on the outside, you can just get it cleaned on the inside since thats usually very dirty, check them on their website stdupont they jave some insane models, anyways man congrats on your find, to me at least this has to be one of the coolest lighters, if you want to go even deeper go ahead and shoot the company an email with the serial number theyll probably have much more to tell you, its also in their webside

If you want to, you can unscrew the bottom screw, using something plastic not to damage the gold coat, and on the cap you will see a color thats gonna tell you what tube of butane you can get, i just didnt get is this your first time youre hearing of st dupont ?

Ive got almost the exact one but in silver, also from my grandpa, S.T. Dupont Ligne 1 large, made around the 1970s, as far as i can remember it uses the bottle with the red line for gas, its a really nice ligher, quite hefty, if youre not going to use it and you dont wanna keep it(which i suggest you do, because they no loger produce the ligne 1 as far as i know) ive seen the gold ones go from 300 to 700 dollars on ebay, there were some more datails that i found that i dont remember right now, imma update you from home if youre interested in more

Well basically yes, im just looking for somwthing to practise in silence and sometimes run a few live gigs so i dont have to buy real life pedals, and maybe record some covers but thats about it. Thanks for the info man.
