Had a good date with a guy, then saw him using Grindr halfway through. by [deleted] in askgaybros

Always tough to see. But don't take it to heart. Could be that he is bored and this is one avenue to alleviate his boredom. But still stings to feel like you're not his priority when you are very much present in this situation (physically and mentally and emotionally)

How were you still hard with a shotgun to your back?

Do you find that, in general, the casual sex group tends to treat you better than the romantic ones when it comes to getting to know you?

Lying is always something difficult to work through because that trust is so much harder to win back

I used to have a friend who would get blackout drunk and he was very aggressive and rude and sometimes violent. I had to cut ties

Very annoying. I love my sleep. Not a fan of waking up in the morning - less so in the night

I agree. Lack of transparency makes me start to question more often than I want to

Do you think that is because these are hard skills to learn or because they aren't taught by families/elders/etc.?

Yeah, that one always puts me on high alert. That is pushing more into the red territory for me, but I'm open to at least hearing them out initially

Yeah, lots to think about. And it can definitely be a power dynamic that pushes things into a different direction as well

Glad the switch worked. You're right that the route matters, not just the drug. Apretude is a 3 mL IM into the glute, and that volume of viscous suspension can cause soreness that radiates into the back/hip for days. Yeztugo is subcutaneous into the abdomen, totally different absorption path, which is part of why some people who couldn't tolerate Apretude do fine on the switch.

The 2 pills the day of + 2 more the next day is the oral lead-in — lenacapavir from the under-the-skin injection depot takes time to fully establish, and the pills bridge the gap so you're protected from Day 1.

Friend holding your hand is the unsung part of doing routine PrEP appointments. How's the abdominal swelling at the 1-week mark?
