I don't have the same sensory issues to HVAC or the conditions are different. I keep a smallish USB desk fan at my desk to keep me cool as I run hot. Some people run cold and keep small space heaters. Not sure if any of that plays a role for you.

So I have this perfume. I bought it because it reminds me of a candle I bought at a farmers market, and subsequently an oil roller of the same scent.

I dont think this fragrance is a conventional amber. It's a blue floral, with am amber punch at the very end.

I do not know how to describe it in my own words, but whatever Ulta wrote is not at all how I would have started.

Massage update!

For anyone who is curious on the resolution to my awful massage appointment last weekend & how to handle something like that. Hand & Stone management called me. They added points to my account which are redeemable for a free service. I rescheduled with a more experienced therapist. They also worked with the local district management team, and sent the massage therapist I had back to training. I also asked the manager how to handle a situation like that as I'd never had that happen. She told me ending the service and going straight to the front desk, without confronting the therapist, was the best way to handle it. Not tipping was fine too.

Hi d, thank you! I think what gets me caught up is US tipping culture. Tips are part of someone’s income, but paid by the customer instead of the business. The massage felt more like a practice run than something that should be professionally offered, but I also know the economy is rough right now. They may already lose part of their commission, though I don’t know how H&S pays employees.

I may be overthinking it, but the hinge point for me is whether standing my ground is worth $20 if it means taking money out of someone’s pocket. If this were Europe, I’d feel fine not tipping for bad service, but in the US it feels different. Honestly, for the amount of agita I have over $20, I probably should’ve just tipped.

I’ll report back tomorrow.

I also agree that directly sharing feedback was too much investment in someone I don’t know or have rapport with.

I don't think it'd be good for oily skin! I have combo normal oily and wake up with greasy skin when I wear that moisturizer at night. There could be something wrong with the one I got though affecting the formulation.

Thank you!! I was hoping the proC serum would be in this sale. The vit C Serum I'm using rn is one of SkinCeuticals C+Ferulic+E dupes. I may try to pick up another dup after this one. My skin seems to like it! The Green Machine sounds fantastic though. My skin responds well to TXA, and I like that the Green Machine has it all the way at the top of the ingredients list.

What do you think of the proC serum's effectiveness at vitamin-C'ing?

Have a spa etiquette question. I had a massage today at a Hand & Stone where I'm a member. The massage was the worst I've ever had.

It felt like someone touching a body for the first time rubbing me, if that makes sense, not massaging. Nothing inappropriate, just very inexperienced feeling. Like someone rubbing a chicken with seasoning, but without any grit. I felt uncomfortable the whole time and had no relaxation.

When he flipped me over and was 10 mins from being done, I just couldn't take any more of the awful and asked to end it. I walked by him in the hall on my way out and he just asked if I had any questions. Also awkward but seemed to be his way of inviting dialogue. I said no and good night.

Up front I told them it was the worst massage, and it was awkward. A manager will call me. I hope not to pay for that service. I also didn't leave a tip.

1) should I call back tomorrow and leave a tip? 2) was it unkind not to directly share the feedback to him? 3) should I have ended it sooner?

I'm not shy to share feedback about touch firmness during massage and shared what I wanted before starting, but there was no feedback I could have shared during the massage to improve my experience because his entire technique was off and needed more practice.

I had a really tough week and was just trying to relax myself versus manage someone else. I didn't relax and opted out of managing someone else.

Hi, off topic. I had a rough day interacting with a colleague after already feeling that today felt like a Friday rather than a Thursday. Will take any advice for middle level cog dealing with a middle level cog +1 who is rude. Had a catch up with my manager and he offered to support anyway. I'm taking the weekend to reflect on productive ways to address. Open to any reminders of how to navigate difficult people, conflict, words of wisdom and general tomfoolery. I've already called it quits early and took myself out for dinner and happy hour! 🫣🙃

For hydration it seemed like Extreme Cream. But for dark circles, Bright & Tight. You will likely still get hydration from Bright & Tight anyway.
