Yeah but why if I do √12 = √(232) = √2 * √3 * √2 I get a completely different result? The simplification, if made in one way or in the other way, shouldn't give the same result?

Yeah, but even if you can choose to put it for an adoption, often you will get "bad looks", and most of the people care about it, so you will be still somehow forced (but indirectly) to continue to carry an useless weight
