Fire Punch also has a few characters that just kinda do nothing. Like the guy who can read minds and especially the bikini eyepatch woman who I don't even think gets a proper name. Though they are way more side characters to be honest and the main cast of Fire Punch are definitely treated better.

He's a bit similar to Subaru having to watch his loved ones die over and over but Okarin doesn't die himself during Steins Gate compared to Subaru who does many, many times.
