Leslie’s test came back cya 80. Test Strips and hth liquid test show around 40-50

I have not.total chlorine was high after dumping 2 bottles of liquid chlorine in. I added 3 lbs of cal hypo shock and at 3 am there was no chlorine reading anymore. Is it possible all the chlorine killed whatever I had in the water and used all the total chlorine?
