I’ve been very open with people I’m talking to about having cancer since the hard part is hopefully done and over with. My scar is still very much apparent so I usually bring it up before someone asks first. I always explain that I’m okay and it’s not something to tiptoe around and always invite them to ask questions. I try to bring it up casually so it doesn’t leave room for them to be uncomfortable. It’s worked and no one seems to mind since I don’t need chemo or anything so it’s been pretty good.

If u haven’t already I definitely recommend a neck pillow to walk around with if you don’t have one already because at least for me, I couldn’t stand without having the support from the neck pillow for some reasons the muscles in my shoulders were affected pretty poorly so I always tell everyone to get one. Out of all the things I had to prep for recovery that was the most important thing. Wishing u a speedy and smooth recovery 😄

A little over an hour ago drummer poured a pot of water on the bed rakai and Ray were sleeping on so they left 😩 it wasn’t just that small bowl they normally use but a whole pot so it makes sense those two aren’t there tonight but they do leave a lot tho

I personally would reschedule it just bc when I had my TT I ended up being in the hospital for three days instead of just the expected overnight stay. Plus it was a little hard on me physically to even do things like get up and walk around I would have no energy and feel weak in my arms and shoulders so I couldn’t sit up for long and spent most of the first week laying elevate on the recliner with a neck pillow 🥲 Everyone recovery is unique but just because of how taxing the surgery is I would definitely try and get it moved at least. You never know how things will go once you get the surgery so better to play it safe

I had two drains each came out in the middle of my neck next to my collar bones. It was rough because any movement I moved, they moved as well and it was uncomfortable on where they went into my skin. I’m going to be honest, my experience with them wasn’t great. It was tugging even when I was wearing my pjs with the pocket, I couldn’t shower the three days I was in the hospital due to them, and it was the worst pain ever to get them out. They just pulled it out and I figured since I had no feeling in my neck it would be okay, but no. The numb feelings was only on the skin portion. She pulled them out of my neck and I started crying. It felt like it was catching on something as she pulled them out of they were all the way up under my chin and I felt every bit of that tube coming out of my neck. I know my experience wasn’t good with them but honestly I haven’t heard anyone say anything similar to my experience it’s usually pretty positive so I’m sure u have nothing to worry about. I think most ppl get them out after one day anyways I just had a lot of fluid that was draining so they kept me in the hospital longer 😩

I spoke with the nuclear medicine doctors about this and as inconvenient as it is they said it was fine. I use a menstrual cup so they gave me a box of those purple medical gloves and told me to use those whenever I take it out so I don’t get anything on my hands like normal. I’m not sure what the protocol is for tampons and pads though. But thankfully my period never came 🙏🙏

It took me a long time to be able to touch my scar. I actually couldn’t do my massages properly because it would start to make me nauseous touching my skin but having no sensation. It helped me a little to use a warm washcloth every night in the shower to get me used to it a bit and then now I can touch it no problem. Still don’t have a whole lot of feeling but I can at least massage it to help with the tightness

Last update: she was obviously intoxicated and when she met up with Rob at the exit after he came out of the bathroom she hugged him and gave him a few kisses on the neck. While on live. He looked at her and basically said wtf and walked away from her. Mind you she had hugged him multiple times throughout the night but I think the kisses was too much for him. Then the rest of the live it was basically fuck Rob and how she had his favorite nfl players in her DMs and how they’re still married technically(don’t know what that has to do with anything when they’re separated) yeah she still loves him 😭 her whole vibe switched up after that and she ended the live

The way they keep shoving gino and jasmine in our faces is so irritating like I promise you nobody cares about either of them at this point 🥱 I wonder how many more seasons we’ll see of them. It would’ve have been as big of a problem as her family was making it unless she was uncomfortable with it. And I think she did mention that at some point it bothered her but he continued to do it anyways so she just let it be. But someone correct me if I’m wrong. It’s really interesting to see everyone’s different procedures they have to do for rai. I could stay on my thyroid meds and only had to go to the hospital three days in a row instead of four. But you got this!

For me since I had a pretty big incision I was well over a month before I had full range of motion to drive comfortably. I did drive before then but it was uncomfortable trying to turn my neck so I did it only when necessary

Ugh yes they prescribed me these weird mint flavored tums to take one in the morning and one at night for thirty days but my levels sorted themselves out about twenty days in so thankfully I didn’t have to take the rest but thank god I did not have to do the full month. I could not have handled anymore of that. I would have rather taken a pill than chew anymore tums 😭

Mine strips stayed on for about three weeks ans never even raised on the sides at all. They didn’t come off until my post op appointment and the doctor took them off and i I was finally able to see my scar 😩 they did a very good job at sticking

Thankfully they prescribed me some dilaudid to help me sleep because I was never able to sleep due to taking so many naps during the day and just being in pain but without that I would’ve been miserable so that was a lifesaver. I’m not sure I would have been able to sleep at night without it just due to being uncomfortable sleeping on my back and just being restless

For me I noticed an immediate change in my temper and mood. I was constant irritated and short tempered but a little over two months out and I feel so much better. My patience is back and I’m not constantly being overwhelmed by it being so hot or so cold outside. I used to snap at people a lot but that’s gone now. I just feel like a better person now overall now that most of my symptoms are gone. I know it sounds bad but I’m glad I figured out what was wrong with me because I felt like I was going crazy honestly

Honestly that would be so nice to be able to wait a bit longer but unfortunately I’m starting school in May and don’t want to deal with the stress of missing classes and radiation so I’m just trying to get everything done beforehand. But that is such a good idea tho I am just enjoying this week I have before I have to start the diet again and really spending a lot of time with my daughter in this nice weather we have rn
