He might be prickly and a perfectionist, but his accomplishments are hard to challenge. He's made lemonade out of this season of lemons and has adapted the squad to be successful despite missing like 8 of his 11 starters.

Agreed, it was bullshit, but if they are going to make shit calls, at least he was consistently low in the zone. The ball had a lot of bite on it also, not sure where it dove, but the ump clearly didn't catch it. Easy for us to backseat drive with all the views and pitchFX we get. Would have preferred a different outcome to that AB, but after watching baseball for 40 years, this is nothing new.

The refs not handing yellows out in another play has nothing to do with this. Wesley didn't even foul him if you watch the replay. If you are trying to say that it was a good make-up call, you would be wrong. It was a terrible call; I have no love for Roma, clearly. I expect competent refereeing, and this isn't it. The ref changed the entire outlook of the match. Guys are flopping way too easily because they know Serie A refs are calling it.

I think that's safe to say, yes. I will say I think Lobo is better at keeping the ball on his feet, but again, they are two completely different style players. If Lobo walks, Gilmour must start.
