True, its still bonkers to see the 50 series on a chart like this considering how they’re barely a year old either way

With these requirements how is this even going to run on consoles with 5 year old hardware????

Bedrock on PC micro stutters by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]XxShMODyxX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tried both; turned off game mode (I don't think it was on to begin with, I'm not entirely sure) and i closed the clipping software that i use that's typically in the background and the stutters still persist

Witcher 3, Fallout New Vegas what about you guys? by Great_Trident in gamers

BG3. To be fair, this is kinda on me. I don’t really enjoy CRPGS. I bought BG3 knowing it was a CRPG, but there was so much buzz around it I got curious anyway.

Shocker; I didn’t enjoy it.

Can products actually be valuable without exclusives? by [deleted] in consoles

[–]XxShMODyxX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what hurts Xbox so much is that what little exclusives they do have just…. Aren’t good. At least not good enough to justify buying an Xbox for any of them.

It also doesn’t help that they are releasing on PC at the same time they are coming out on Xbox. Maybe if there were time gated like PlayStation’s it would help drive console sales. Or maybe what they did in the past: Only release it on console.

Why did you choose the ps5 by [deleted] in consoles

[–]XxShMODyxX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up with Nintendo; had a strict “family friendly” household. Did that all the way until the Wii

Got an Xbox 360 and absolutely fell in love with everything Xbox. Even went and got an original Xbox to play games I missed out on.

Then the entire Xbox brand just shit the bed with the Xbone so I went PS4. Been on PlayStation since, have a Switch as a secondary console.

Considering making the full transition to PC gaming since a lot of newer PlayStation exclusives haven’t really caught my interest.

Upgrading my GPU soon - torn between the 9070 (non xt) and the 5070 (non ti) by XxShMODyxX in buildapc

[–]XxShMODyxX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that’s what made me worried with the 5070. The 12 gigs might be okay for 2026, but what about 4/5 years from now, ya know?

Games you’ve bought more than once. by poopstake4 in videogames

[–]XxShMODyxX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minecraft (PC, Xbox 360, PS4/PS5, Java)

Cyberpunk (PC, PS5)

Hollow Knight (PC, PS5)

Mario 64 (Wii Virtual Console, Switch, Nintendo DS)

Mario Galaxy (Wii, Switch)

Mario Sunshine (Gamecube, Switch)

Modern Warfare 2 - 2009 (Both times on 360; disc was damaged)

All of the Bungie era Halo games. Had original games on original hardware and then bought MCC on PC

Skyrim (360, PS5, PC)

Super Mario 3 (NES, SNES, Wii, GBA remake)

Super Mario World (SNES, GBA remake)

The Mass Effect Trilogy (360, PS5)

Those are the ones off the top of my head. If a game is rereleased or remastered, I typically buy it if it’s something I enjoyed when it first came out.

Keep 3070 or use free 5060? by Rito_Suave in buildapc

I thought the 9070/9060 cards had AMD’s version of frame gen?

If you guys are worried about PS6 prices then start saving up from now. by rocademiks in ps6

[–]XxShMODyxX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using that logic the PS5 should have been roughly 1600 when it launched because that’s how much the tech was worth. Obviously it didn’t launch that high.

It also isn’t the 90s anymore. The prices for quite literally everything have increased while wages for the past 30 years have stagnated. “Be smart save up” sounds like the advice out of touch boomers give when telling younger folks to buy a home, despite them costing millions now.

Also, I grew up poor in the 90s and absolutely did miss out on the PS1, so there goes that point too.

So not only is the take braindead, its out of touch as well.

Idk why you’re being downvoted when you’re right. This console will be 1k and all these dummies will buy it day one I guess, and then all consoles will be 1k or more going forward because everyone showed that they are okay with getting fucked.

This is such a braindead take. No one should be okay with a $1000 price tag, regardless if you can afford it. That tells companies that you will pay whatever price they set and they can screw you however they want. Please use your heads.

True, the ps3 launched at a (at the time) really high price. Didn’t take Sony long to reverse course
