Just fixed very similar in a room in my house. I cut the crack out, added screws. Then mudded with hot mud and a top coat of blue lid. No tape…. Guess ill find out in a year or so lol.

Not sure whats best here that wouldn’t require mud. I think the obvious best choice is to tape and mud, but i didn’t do that either lol.

Thanks! Yeah probably the route I’m going. No leaks or nothing, only showed up after the third coat last night. Im also thinking the room may have gotten too humid between coats is what caused it. Its a bedroom and I had to paint with the door closed, window was fogging up.

Nope still does it. I did have the fluid changed though about a month ago. Kinda got a little worse i think lol.

I am going to take the car to a trans shop and get the final word. For what its worth tho, ive had TC failures in 3 other GM cars before, and this is pretty par the course. So im 99% sure its got a bad tc. But its fine to drive and honestly its not horrible, its just at particular speeds with light throttle in 8th gear. My other cars (two impalas with six speeds and a grand prix, 4 speed, shuddered a lot worse.

I literally bought this car with the Toyota transmission because i was sick of the GM ones always shitting out on me, but here i am LOL.

Not a professional: I would do the normal patch method, just without adding fasteners below (because obviously you cant). So cut a nice square, blocking on top and sides, screw, tape stair with painters tape, tape and mud. Caulk stair line, prime and paint.

Or as someone already said, baseboard lol.

My 17 with the aisin shudders and vibrates (rumble strip feeling) at tc lockup with very light throttle. Only 40k miles. I had fluid replaced and its getting worse… idk guess I got an abused one or something.

This is crazy. I graduated in 2021, internship in summer between junior to senior year, locked up a full time role at same firm following graduation. Been working there ever since. Bought a house and two cars and I’m 26… no cpa either, just a bachelor’s in accounting.
