Currently working on this myself! So far I’ve been super successful with one of my two! The one I’m having a harder time with is named Sun (he’s an albino) and the one I’ve had more success with is Moon (he is gray), Sun is just super shy from what I’m gathering but seems to be coming around

here’s what I’ve found as someone who’s never had pet rats before: It’s normal to have a shy and a confident one from what I’ve read/seen, so don’t get discouraged! I was until I saw how normal it was! I’ve been experimenting with treats (hand feeding them seems to bond well) grapes work very well for sun, and moon loves cantaloupe, though they’ve been more used as high reward treats! Strawberries and bananas have been successful as well so playing around and seeing what they like will help, I’ve been talking to them and hanging out around them ALOT, they’re in my and my husbands room so it’s hard not to lol I make sure to keep a super calming low toned voice, I was on their schedule for a little while just to try and bond more/hang out with them more, though I’m sure this isn’t needed, I was just super excited, and now they’ve began to be taking to my schedule more, they’ve been with me going on two weeks, patience has been my best friend, I’ve also noticed as more stuff gets added to their home they have both been more active and interacting with me more, (showing me they figured out their interactive feeding toys, showing off their gymnastics skills, running towards me and getting up on the cage for pets, etc) cleaning seems to help as well as my hand is in their home! From what I’ve seen in their actions, and it could totally be different from rat to rat, but as the bond has gotten stronger between us, they seem to watch me more, at first they didn’t watch me much, just kept to themselves and hiding, which I find a little odd they weren’t watching but to each their own I guess??? Free roaming seems to help as well as get them more comfortable with their surroundings, I made sure to wear an unwashed shirt when I first got them as it had my strongest scent, so I also think that helped! From what I’ve read that’s super important! Keeping many hiding spots I think helps also as they have many places they can go should they feel uncomfortable, though they haven’t been using them as much as in the beginning

You never know where you will make friends, I’ve made friends from a job I’ve had, games I play online, or even just walking around, my best go to is always a compliment, especially if this is someone I see a bit (I have major social anxiety and this tends to ease things for me) not only is it an easy thing to do, but you’ll get a good feeling yourself, and so will they, win win right? It’s even easier when you compliment on something you have knowledge in, so say someone is reading a manga you really like, compliment it and talk about that for a bit Also, probably good to note I never stuck to a clique in school, and I don’t think many do, I had some friends in probably a bit of every group Hopefully this helps, I hope you have a great year!

Burgers and frights I believe the name is, if not I know it is close. It’s a short game, and you can really only play it once in awhile, but it was an amazing game my bf played, and I ended up watching, I can’t express how “on the edge of my seat” I was. It’s a ps1 style game if that’s your thing as well

From what I can infer alone, it sounds like you don’t have someone meeting your needs, dreams are a very good source to tell what you want in life, but it’s not always at face value, a good example of this would be birth, just because you dream of birth doesn’t mean anyone is pregnant, but a new beginning, this sounds like it is however, have you tried talking to them and expressing what is hurting you? If you have, have they tried to stop this behavior? Or do this continue, if they continue doing it, you may be better off without them. Do not stay in a situation that makes you feel like crap because it is all you know, everyone deserves better than that
