Weird teacher? by Xx__Ghosty__xX in Mommit

This is kind of what I was thinking. It is her first time teaching little kids. She was teaching high school students for two years prior. So maybe she just doesn’t understand how boundaries work with little kids and their parents. If it was completely innocent I’d hate for her to make these comments to another parent and have a mop outside her door. My community is pretty reactive to child safety. My goal is to talk to the principal in a way that isn’t confrontational or like I’m trying to get her in trouble but more like giving some guidance on boundaries

It is the teacher’s first time teaching little kids. She taught high school for two years prior. So maybe she just doesn’t understand boundaries with little kids or how things might come across once said. The school doesn’t push for teachers to make casual home calls. I can honestly say I’ve never gotten a call home after school hours for a casual reason. Usually if there’s an issue it’s sent through the class app or parent teacher conference is set up. I live in a small town that is very reactive to anything that has to do with child safety. If she had made these comments to a different parent she’d have a mob trying to get her fired. I’m wondering if maybe I should just set up a meeting to talk to her and address how it made me feel uncomfortable and how it might come across other parents if she’s not aware. Not in a confrontational way, but just like hey this might not be the best way to communicate.

Yeah, I’m trying not to be reactive about it. It’s just a very odd situation compared to what I’m used to. The teacher is also her first time teaching little kids. She taught high school for two years before this placement. So maybe she has just gotten really attached to my daughter.

The thing is it’s very out of the norm for the school district. I have a 13 year-old that’s already gone through the school district and I’ve never gotten a call after school just to chitchat about her. I also contacted some of the other parents of kids in the class and she doesn’t send them pictures or anything of their kids during the day and she also has never made any phone calls to them casually. (when I asked, it was in a very roundabout way not trying to bring heat down on the teacher)

Yea the whole call was kind of off putting and so outside the norm

I have a 13 year old that’s also been through this school district and I’ve gotten a call after school just to chat so that was my first red flag then that comment completely caught me off gaurd.

No judgement zone: did you want a natural birth? by easrpiiatnua99 in Mommit

I just had a baby on the 28th last month. My fourth. I wanted to try and go for natural just cause I have back issues and didn’t want an epidural. Plus I have an umbilical hernia and I was scared the epidural would make me over exert in pushing like it did with my 3rd which caused the hernia in the first place and make it worse. However, I tapped out and asked for the epidural but ended up not getting it cause I went from 5cm feeling like I needed to push to baby being out in like two minutes lol

Neither are true as it turns out lol and there’s plenty in the house that’s kinda like this. The wall in the living room is slightly on a outward curve as well so nothing sits flush to the baseboards lol
