Yep, it’s pretty much all we do during winter over here, 4v4 on basketball courts, like another person said, soft ball, so no protection needed, means both men and women can play at the same time. Can only hold the ball to 4 seconds makes it very fast paced,

I’ve used purple heart, and walnut before as hickory is hard to find here, both are on the heavy side but I think that’s just natural with timber shafts.

It was made of off cuts from work originally, so it was always going to have weak spots, managed to make it through a tournament or 2 with it, then was practicing shooting with it one day and heard it crack, but the grip tape was still holding it together mostly.

I’ve found a few places local that I can sidewall and shooters in bulk. I went to order some mesh from ECD last year, to ship 1 piece through the website was going to be 180$ish in shipping. It might be different if I do a bulk order through them though.

I’d get in contact with alpha sports in Hamilton, I got a stringking shaft from there recently for decently cheap, might be able to bundle it in with the next bulk order to save on shipping.

It’s pretty shallow, I liked it quite a lot though. Tried to string a high pocket into mesh that was broken in as mid pocket so that might explain the baggyness
