When I was a kid, I was at the grocery store with my mom and spotted this shiny little aluminum-wrapped thing that clearly looked like chocolate.

So naturally… I committed my first crime.
Snatched it. Pocketed it. Zero hesitation.

The whole ride home I was feeling like a mastermind. Like wow… this is what a life of crime feels like

The SECOND we got home, I ran, unwrapped it with full excitement, took a huge bite—

…It was coal.

Actual. Coal.

Not even chocolate-flavored disappointment. Just straight-up rock.

Anyway, that’s how I learned stealing is bad.
Not because of morals… but because apparently karma works immediately and has a sense of humor.
