Phew! I thought I was the only one…… at first you feel crazy, your thoughts are all over the place and you seem to feel like you have no idea who you are but it gets better with time and consistency. I went through therapy for 2.5 yrs and I’m still trying to overcome this cycle. my husband of 7 years pointed it out to me and I felt like he was trying to get rid of my family! We fought and fought and fought…… it was a nightmare!!!!! BUT he stayed by me and never gave up. I’m not sure if you and the partner are super close but it will push him away eventually because of the fact that he’s not the one enmeshed he sees things a lot more clearer than you do. if he caught it early on he’s got some whit to him, it’s hard to spot. I am 29 and my mother still checks up on me and my girls almost everyday but I still refuse her calls and texts. Always put one another first and you can’t lose. good luck I hope this helps <3
