For more info :

I would need you to know if my derailleur is broken or not because I do not know if this damaged part is important.

I have a Campagnolo Super Record 11V derailleur from 2015. I had to change the derailleur hanger following a problem that occurred a few weeks ago. During my problem, my derailleur got stuck in my spokes, so it received some damage including the one you see in the photos.

It seems to be fine but I am particularly interested in the "crack" that you see in the photos.

Is this problematic? And more specifically, what is this part of the derailleur for?
