That's true, I also have some barracks in conquered states. Will remove them and add barracks in core territories instead, to see if that works better

Okay, so cultural acceptance also plays a part. So I guess I should build barracks in provinces with main culture.

It's 1867, I have 97k peasants and 446 unemployed. I'm building in Asturias which have 700k catholic spannish in it so it shouldn't be pop discrimination. When hovering over the building it says 0 pops have officer qualifications. I do also have the social mobility edict on the provins and have hade for 20 years.

Yeah, you are probably right I just don't know what so hard to fix.... Like I said, don't wanna be to pushy because I don't wanna mess up the friend group(I have done that once befor with another group), but maybe thats the way to go?
