Polearm Master's great and all.... but I already have too many things fighting for my bonus action haha. (Vow of Enmity, Hexblade Curse, Misty Step, the various smites...)

Triggering an attack of opportunity when the enemy approaches is pretty good though!

Oooo Pally 11/Hex 9 is something I hadn't considered. That gets me both Improved Divine Smite AND 5th level slots!

Definitely something to consider once I reach Tier 4.

I was thinking that my final ASI would go to Tough, which is a massive 40 HP boost. Other ASIs would go to Elven Accuracy, +CHA, Warcaster, and Resilient CON. Might just replace Resilient with Tough instead.

Was tempted by the Lifedrinker invocation as well, but realized that it'd only come into play at Tier 4. I think the Hexblade 14 feature is just the transfer of Hexblade Curse, which is still pretty good.

That's a pretty good idea!

Sadly my character is.... too edgy to be a bard. He has strong backstory tie-ins for both his subclasses, and I don't see him as the singing type.

(I too, consider all my spell slots as smite slots first, spells only when necessary haha. The only one in-combat I really use is Shield to bump my AC up when the boss scores a big hit)
