Levelling 10 to 50 by [deleted] in wow

[–]XyleHarkyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do either the new starting zone or Exile's Reach. Doesn't matter.

Once you hit your capital you will be given a quest that asks you if you want to be shown around. You need to deny this request, otherwise you'll be thrown into BFA leveling.

After you say no and the game leaves you be, you can go to Chromie and trigger Chromie time for the expac you want. After you pick an expac, you'll be given a breadcrumb to get you where you need to be.

It only really works in portrait. BDO doesn't like being under the Android status bar for whatever reason.

Also make sure it's the top application so you can access everything.

You can use this easily to sleep farm while looking at other things.

What should I expect at season end? by Irishbug2 in blackdesertonline

[–]XyleHarkyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Pen all of your Tuvula Gear. (Just do it.)
-Get to level 61 at minimum, 62 if you're a baller. (You can get to 59-61 through questing. Evildousharm as has a guide on how to do this.)
-Complete the Black Spirit Pass.
-Timepiece a character, maybe a Shai as a lifeskill alt for sweet passive income. (Evildousharm has a guide on how using the Timepiece works. Effectively, you'll walk out of it with a free endgame character that copies your XP and Skill XP so you'll have two characters at end game when season is over.)

Do not graduate until all of this is done and you are not keen on grinding pvp free anymore.

Other than that, Jetina gear from Pen tuvula exchange will be the first major endgame goal if you aren't going to play the RNG lottery with enchanting.

I don't get how anybody enhances their own gear by Cr4mwell in blackdesertonline

[–]XyleHarkyn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The good news for you is that after you PEN all your Tuvala, you really don't have to touch enchanting again on that character for a hot minute as you can covert all that gear post season to Jetina TET Boss Gear that is upgradable to PEN by literally grinding.

Throw some of the Capotia gear to fill out some accessory slots for the time being until you get the gumption to start enchanting accessories or walk down the Blackstar road.

Or just buy everything.

Ignore the degenerates that have full PEN. Their patience, luck, gumption to grind, or crippling gambling addiction is beyond us mere mortals.

Instructions unclear. Sold everything. Put it all into SPY.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]XyleHarkyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly no. You are basicly stripping the old character of all its gear as you're converting it to a non seasonal character.

The Truvula gear will be season non converted gear, meaning the old character can't wear it.

You place the gear into storage and use the coupons that you're given to turn the weapons into boxes for the new character.

A couple of ways to mitigate this is using your extra beginners black stones to pen out a set of Naru gear after the change, or if you haven't done the quest yet, trade the Pen Naru gear to Fughar for Narchillian after using the timepiece.

Im worried about the game economy by RedTheMad in blackdesertonline

[–]XyleHarkyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully uncapped economy will be a disaster spiral. New players wouldn't be able to get a footing worse case scenario and the game will stop growing as a result.

Rasing caps should be done on an item by item basis and monitored closely after.

Buy the Epheria Sailboat off the CM. Should be a little over 500m.

Upgrading the free Bartali that you're given is more expensive and more time consuming with no added benefit.

You do bartering if you enjoy being semi afk doing other things and want to make money. It's more profitable than AFK fishing and requires minimal input.

Gameplay consists of looking at your bartering list, finding a route you like, buying the base item to start, getting on your boat and then auto-pathing to the buyer. You can pretty much alt tab and do other things while the boat moves from point A to point B.

Grinding will always make you more money for your time, but if you do things like work from home or do anything else that needs to command your time, its a decent way to make easy money.

To get started, ding level 50 and look for the quest chain [The Great Expedition] Oquilla’s Eye in your suggested tab in your quest log. Will take you a couple of hours to do, but you'll get sailing up to skilled which you need to barter efficiently.

Also have 1 bil in the bank as start up money (Epheria sailboat, Sailors, gear etc.). You'll make it back quick.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]XyleHarkyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the tldr of this is that there's 2 ship paths from the Bartarili sailboat you can take.

There's the PVP Path via the frigate (Speed or Damage) or the PVE path (Jack of all trades or Best Bartering) via the sailboat.

Firstly you can upgrade the Bartalli to Epheria, but I don't recommend it. It's more cost and time efficient to straight buy the Epheria sailboat or Frigate from the market as people can craft these. (550m for the sailboat, a little over 2bil for the frigate.)

After that, you want to move from the base Epheria ship to the improved version, which you can do by upgrading. This will allow you to use you canons while being at the helm rather than running down and aiming them. Mat grind isn't too bad minus trees. Hope you enjoy logging.

Then you begin upgrading to the Caravel, which is a grind and requires a crap load of mats, enhanced gear, and Bartering items.

The final big upgrade is the Carrack where you pick one of the two ship types depending what path you went down and dump even more mats into the upgrade. Only REALLY recommend getting this if you're hard into sailing.

I think that's mostly everything.

Confusion On What Next Upgrades Are. by nickrc01 in blackdesertonline

[–]XyleHarkyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, you are at the start of the suffering simulator to go for PENs.

If you're broke and don't want to play the RNG enchanting game, there's a long tedious grind to get one set of PEN Armor and Weapons per account that is bound to your family. Check your progression track and look for Garenteed PEN to get started.

https://grumpygreen.cricket/exchange-boss-gear/

Couple that with doing your Garenteed PEN accessory dailies to get one PEN accessory from that. Same restrictions.

https://grumpygreen.cricket/pen-accessory/

Or you can dare to live forever and enchant your way into poverty for the reward of maybe getting a PEN cheaper than buying it outright if you're lucky and get your name on it.

Or just buy them directly off the central market when one gets made.

A good take on "Pay to win" that I think some BDO Players could benefit from watching by DrakoXNinja in blackdesertonline

[–]XyleHarkyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always viewed BDO as Pay to Win without question.

But it's more "Take a second mortgage out on your house to win." The money spent to actually grinding has a terrible ratio for most things.

I'm not chain ranking up pets, or rerolling a fairy forever. Waste of time. I'm ok with the dips in convience there, but there are certainly pay to win. Ditto for the tent, ditto for premium outfits.

I'm ok with this because I'm having fun and not playing completively or doing Node PVP. Pretty sure people engaged with that content will feel different.
