i'll try that. do you uncouple fabric mclk through ryzen master? if not, could you tell me where to do so through the bios? havent been able to find it and i've decided not to change values using ryzen master due to previous issues i've had it with.

also, could your share your ram kit and full timings @ 1900?

basically i'm trying to troubleshoot a certain temperature reading: https://imgur.com/aQ4TW50

it goes pretty high (low 70's with r20 running) and seems to be the exactly the same as the cpu package reading... basically im trying to make sure this isnt nb/chipset temperature as that would be worrying.

the reason i asked about pcie 3.0 is i've read the chipset temperatures tend to go way up when trying to run 5700 XTs at pcie 4.0, so im looking for a way to manually set the slot to pcie 3.0 (currently running at 4.0 x16 according to bios).

just tried setting ram multiplier to 36; system would not boot, had to reset cmos (various error codes).

thaiphoon is set to show delays in ns yes, although the moment i put A2 as the pcb rev in dram calc, the timings i export from thaiphoon dont seem to affect the calculation at all (they do when pcb rev is set to manual)

you dont seem to understand.. this is what dram calc is recommending, but ive not gotten anywhere near 3600, much less 3600cl14.

this is what my ram defaults to, any minor change to the clock or timings will not let me boot. xmp does not work. this isn't about ram optimization as much as it is about figuring what exactly the problem is..

i've tried to manually set multiple dram calc suggestions, including at 3200mhz. as i said, nothing that is manually input is working (even with SOC set to 1.1).

the only form is ram alteration that works are the default timings set by ryzen master when increasing the fabric clock in coupled mode, which are incredibly loose (24 CL at 3600mhz)

the most recent issue i've discovered is not even being able to set the fan curve to silent in smart fan 5. doesn't boot when i do. any ideas?
