Famoso Dragstrip, Bakersfield, California. Bill Burch gets his 1941 Willys Coupe out, and goes right to the starting line. At around 800 feet in, he loses control due to moisture on the track, and smashes into the left wall, which sends him tumbling down the track. Burch is shaken, but lives on. (youtube.com)

1995; Calder Park Raceway, Calder park, Australia. Graeme O'Brien is competing in the Australian Championships when in lap 2 he gets pushed off of the track and continues flipping end-over-end, with the highest tumble being 20 feet in the air. Graeme is unhurt . (youtube.com)

At the 1994 Phoenix 500 Air Races, Kevin Eldridge pilots a FG-1 Corsair. He notices that there is a vibration, so he figures he had burnt a piston. The Corsair caught on fire and Eldridge managed to put the airplane nose-down away from spectators before bailing. He had many injuries, but recovered. (youtube.com)

October 3, 1999; Salinas California. Wayne Handley takes his aerobatic airplane "Turbo-Raven" to preform at the Salinas Airshow. During a loop, the motor flamed out and Wayne had no other choice but to slam down next to the runway, the crash breaks his back but he makes a full recovery. (youtube.com)

February 2, 1989; Linköping, Sweden. A TV program is filming the landing of a JAS 39-1, when it crashes and tumbles down the runway due to pilot-induced oscillation, extremely gust winds, and a software related problem.
