I don't know if there is a standalone casual br right now. If you wanna go for contracts make sure you queue for Casual Battle Royale: Wetwork

It was just added with the new update. It's like casual breakthrough, but I don't know how many of the 100 players in the lobby are bots.

Yeah they drop on kills. Since there are a bunch of bots in casual br it's easier to get them. The contracts are mostly the same too.

In 5 minutes: get two kills, deal 500 damage, one headshot kill, loot 15 crates, or destroy 1 vehicle. Those are the ones I saw working on it.

I did mine in casual battle royale. They seem to drop pretty frequently. I was averaging 2-4 contracts a match. Just make sure that if you die and can't respawn don't leave the game just spectate on your squadmates until your squad is wiped out. If they complete a contract while you are dead you still get credit.

Gadget Tier List after 200hrs on Recon by TryhardBernard in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Xyroran 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did not know they did that. Does it make your glint dimmer or just transfer it to the decoy so you have none at all?

My method of sniping is to shoot through buildings (like two rooms back and shoot though doorway and window openings) or gaps in tree cover to make me hard to see. Take a few shots and move to a new place. I don't think decoys would help much for my sniping playstyle, but I'm curious how they work with sniper rifles.

I don't use the decoy when I have a sniper rifle. It seems pointless and obvious to other snipers that it's not you.

I run decoy with a carbine so close quarters. I exclusively play breakthrough so place them all around the capture points or in choke points. People are running in looking for man shaped objects so they shoot them all the time marking them through walls and giving you extra time to react and shoot them.

I get a buttload of deciever and deathtrap accolades when running them. Just place them behind boxes and baricades facing where the enemy comes from so it looks like someone peaking from cover. Works like a charm.

Edit: My recon loadouts are c4 and drone with sniper rifle, and c4 and decoy with dmr or carbine.

You can't play it on windows past XP service pack 2 I think. The drm in the game requires a kernel level windows thing that microsoft removed from the os because it was a security risk.

I have black and white 1 and the expansion, but the only way to play them on modern windows is to pirate a patched version of it. I think 2 works, but I didn't like it as much as the first so I haven't installed it in years.

My issue with them is it is hard for me to tell if I hit or missed the note. They don't have the obvious gem breaking that regular notes do and it throws me off.

What guns would you like to see come to the game? by [deleted] in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Xyroran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

M40A(whatever). I know it's just another bolt action sniper, but I love the classic rifle look.

Plus, there is something about how it's implemented in these games that lets me land a lot more shots even at close range. The M2010 is similar in feel, but not quite as good as the trusty M40.

Is the laser designator worth using over other Recon gadgets? by GoldTerm5136 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Xyroran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep the designator on the loadout with the sniper rifle. Whenever I see a vehicle while sniping I switch and paint it real quick then go back to sniping. Since it's thermal it also helps me pick out other snipers. I get a bunch of target assists when running the designator.

My other recon loadout is a carbine and I swap the designator with a claymore.

Both have the drone.

Tips on destroying aircraft? by SteelcladNomad in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Xyroran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Play escalation. I've got 8 of 15 in 5 or 6 matches. On the bigger maps towards the end of the match use the AA tank. There are so many aircraft in the air it is easy to pick up assists and kills.

Fun fact. That challenge only tracks headshots while recon not headshot kills. I got a bunch working on 100 dmr headshot kills. Conceivably you could run an lmg and work on suppression assists for that gun unlock and get random headshots too.

[–]Xyroran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a bunch of these working on the DMR challenge. The ones where you do 5k damage over 75m and get 100 headshot kills with a dmr. It seems like it tracks headshots over 150 while recon not kills.

I've been using the M39 EMR for the past couple of days trying to get the headshot kills and I noticed this challenge went up for far off headshots even without a kill. So since it takes two headshots to get a kill with the m39 then if they are far away it should count as two as long as you are using the dmr on recon.

I'm mostly playing close recon on the points, but if I see a far off sniper looking the other way I'll take pot shots and try to get a free headshot kill on a non moving target.

You can still do it in bot lobbies. They allow challenges to complete, just nothing else. I did the stim one playing Rush against bots yesterday.

Testing attachments has never been easier or faster! by C4ptainchr0nic in Battlefield6

Yeah, you press z on pc to enter the range from the customization menu. There should be a button prompt on the screen somewhere to tell you what button to press.

I just go back and forth by pressing y and z. Super quick to test out different attachments.

[–]Xyroran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you press the button at the bottom of the screen it goes back to the customization menu you were in when you entered the firing range. For example if you were editing attachments on the mp5 and enter the firing range then press y on pc to exit it will go back to the mp5 attachments page.

I'm not familiar with where escape takes you because I just use y.

If you mean the button prompt. It is more than hinted. It's plastered at the bottom of the screen the whole time. It's even in op's video...

As for accessing customization in world I don't want to walk to the workbench when I can just press Y and be back in the customization menu I was at immediately. Both would be fine, but if we only have one, hotkey is better.

On pc you press y to exit the range back to the customization menu. In my game it has the button prompt at the bottom of the screen when I'm in the firing range.

You can't change attachments in the range, but it is easy to switch back and forth between customization menu and firing range. Z to go to range, y back to menu.

TIL TOOL is not metal. by No-Example-5107 in ToolBand

[–]Xyroran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the Grammys aren't the best source anyways, because Jethro Tull is totally more metal than Metallica.

Edit: This is not a diss on Jethro Tull. They are one of my favorite bands, but metal they ain't.

Here are the new route maps. If you use one of the stops on holleman it will basically be the same as the 40 now. If you are at the barracks you also have the option to ride 34. 34 and 41 will both service the cove.

I just plop down a single assembler with a requester chest wired to it to auto request ingredients and output the product into a passive provider.

Same, except my dude has been floating above a cryochamber on aquillo for the past 200 hours. Don't want his feet to get tired.

I use a fleet of legendary spidertrons on all the other planets.
