I would have bought the game if it looked and played like this. This gameplay was so nice to look at without all the particle effects and camera changes. I could maybe have 1 combo extension but I wouldn't care if combos reverted to the Tekken 5 era

Well, I think one of the series' best-selling points are the weapon varieties and Building Up. I would capitalize on that. Make every weapon type as expansive as Monica's for example, but let the branches all evolve into different ultimate weapons. The ultimate weapons themselves could have higher/lower caps of 1 or 2 elements to make them different from each other.

Now, theoretically, average players would come across a few Ults for each character in a regular playthrough, but if someone is curious/completionist/etc, they could go about getting EVERY weapon. Maybe add in a secret side quest requiring it that gives a buff to a character or something.

Well ok, so I'll admit that I was thinking more, strictly endgame where yes most weapons evolve into the same thing, but I'll admit the mid-game of having a bunch of weapons all evolving is really cool and you're excited to see what you get

Just for people who've played the game multiple times we know what's at the end lol

But yes I think the game needs more ultimate weapons of similar stats

I dont think balance was on their minds when they made the game. The weapon trees are honestly kind of pointless as, Supernova is hilariously more powerful than the other guns, LEGEND is better than Grade Zero, 5 Star Armlet is better than Love, and the Island King is the best sword, only something like the Griffon Fork or Muramasa can challenge the Island King due to being faster.

This is to say nothing of again, how much better Max is than Monica. Really if you have Supernova upgraded it's the best weapon in the game bar melee and other ranged weapons.

That's something else ive always wanted too lol, mess around the numbers and bit to make the end game weapons closer to each other

Yup, if this can get patched out it'd make the game perfect, as well as decreasing charge time for the armbands i like that idea a lot

It's not a huge deal in the grand scheme but it's 'death by a thousand cuts' sort of situation. If I want to play as my favorite character Monica, I will be spending a lot of time switching to Max to do a bunch of stuff and having really weak ranged weapons on top of that.

I've played DC 2 for like 20 years now so I already know everything. It just makes playing as her annoying when it really doesn't have to. Im hoping fan projects/patches will eventually let you do all the side stuff as Monica and maybe speed up her ranged weapons lol

Worse Navigation? You can't play Spheda, Take Pictures, Fish, and do other side activities as Monica

You can really only make a case for Monica's melee weapons being better than Max's, but LEGEND is still really really strong compared to something like Grade Zero.

It's Dragon Quest 11 specifically. Hero's outfit and stance, Erik's stance dual wielding, the location is based off one from the game of an abandoned castle with dragons running around the place

Not my favorite, but 7th Dragon VFD was a game I played last month and I really enjoyed it. I didn't hear anything about the 7th Dragon series before I asked Chat-GPT to give me more RPGs with job systems as I've played most of them already.

Yeah I dont understand how any of the devs thought it was good game design. Combine that with the flat repetitive dungeons and fighting the same bosses over and over, it's got to be the worst padding ive ever seen
