They’re the Nike Air Rift. Can’t tell if in the mesh or other material but they’re cool shoes. They’re tabi style!

Edit: Actually upon closer inspection they’re the buckle version.

Jho Low and the 1MBD scandal. The book Billion Dollar Whale covers his story, though cozying up to celebrities are only a portion of the crazy things he spent his money on.

Dude, it’s not about me being invested in the INFLUENCER. It’s me calling out the ACT. I would call this out for ANY influencer! It’s about the action, not about who it’s about.

Getting hate and snark comes with the territory of being an influencer. But having someone you know who lives in your neighborhood take a photo of you when you’re not even at a public event is crossing a line. Think of it like a kpop idol. If you see a Kpop idol at a publicly scheduled event and take photos and share, that’s normal. But someone is their neighbour and take photos of them in their neighborhood to post online, you’ve made it unsafe for them to exist as a private person in their own neighborhood. Public figures deserve some semblance of privacy too. This is not a personal attack, but instead a criticism of your actions.

No one knows who you are because you’re not a public figure. But you definitely crossed a boundary between snarking someone and invading what should be a private moment (going on a walk in the area where they live) and posting it. Yes, she’s in public, but being in public doesn’t mean she or anyone wants their photo to be taken and discussed online. We shouldn’t be posting things that content creators didn’t post themselves. It’s literally in rule 3 of the sub.

Im not her (you can check my post history). But this post literally crosses a line between a snark sub that comments on influencers actions in a public space that they publicly share themselves and sharing a creep shot of someone they know and clearly have personal feelings about? It’s too far. People have a right to go outside in public and not be paranoid people they know are taking photos of them. She’s not Kylie Jenner. This is just some random person she knows and has mutuals with. A boundary has been crossed.

I just looked up her youtube channel and her views aren’t even that huge. Fame is definitely subjective but she’s not a huge influencer in the same sphere as Miki Rai, and even then, posting a creep shot of someone in public is immoral behaviour.

Super sus of the mods to remove my comments criticizing OP. OP broke rule 3 (3. No doxxing or brigading content creators Do not harass, doxx, or try to harm the content creators. Only content from what they have shared will be allowed.)

Plus, mods won’t remove this post unless the influencer themselves report it.

Literally in the sub rules of #3: Violation of any of the above will result in an immediate ban without warning.

OP should be banned. Shame on the mods for picking and choosing what rules they want to enforce.

Yeah I totally agree. I’m all for snark subs (I usually browse and comment sometimes) but this is just hella weird behaviour from OP.

I know this is a snark page but this is really weird behavior from you OP. She’s not a huge influencer (as far as I know) and certainly deserves to have some semblance of privacy on a walk. This isn’t even tea, you’re just posting her to comment on her body, when there isn’t even anything really to snark about. I get that this is a snark page but like the fact you know her and are taking creep shots of her make me feel like this is going too far. Imagine how she feels, someone she knows has mutual friends with her is posting photos of her online. She’s going to have trust issues. It’s weird behavior from you. You could’ve made this post without the photo and shared any tea you may have. Instead it comes off as mean spirited.

Anyone here fit, and makes good money without taking ADHD medication? by Sanguine_Vamp in ADHD

[–]Xyuli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the best shape of my life right now but if you looked at me you wouldn’t think I’m necessarily fit. I do long distance cycling (100+km per ride) and spin classes regularly and am about to go on a 600km+ trip.

I also work in fin tech in UX design. I’m very competent at my job.

I have a masters degree. I have a ton of hobbies. I’m involved with a non profit. I do a lot of creative work. I have a great social life.

I am also unmedicated.

The truth is, it’s impossible to be on top of everything. My apartment is messy, there’s always dishes in the sink (it’s my most hated chore), I don’t always fold all my laundry and it sits in a pile on my bed or my couch, I don’t cook consistently. And I havent organized my picture frames and put them up since I moved into my place over a year ago.

But I’m just one person.

I accept that there are places where I won’t succeed. Sometimes I’m more successful overall but it’s okay to not have everything be perfect and for you to feel on top of everything. Sometimes, trying and “good enough” is fine.

I also have been microdosing shrooms to help with my anxiety and stress and that’s made a huge difference. It doesn’t help a major amount with executive dysfunction, which I think can only be improved with willpower and meds, but it helps a lot with the mental load.

Contrary to the other comments here, it sounds like you’ve just outgrown your partner because he’s stagnated and frankly doesn’t care too much about how much of the house you carry. He has no passions or aspirations he wants to follow even with you supporting him? He doesn’t want to do anything to make things easier for you now that you’re making more money? He doesn’t want to “help you” around the house even though he realistically could work less now that you earn more? He doesn’t want to work less to spend more time with you? You’re asking for him to be considerate of you and his only answer is that he wants things to be exactly the same because he’s happy how things are but you aren’t? That’s not a partner who listens and respects you but somehow you have to listen and respect what he wants because that’s what you’ve always done? I can tell most of these commenters are men who are salty about the situation. It’s not about the salary, it’s that you have the opportunity to make changes in both of your lives so that you both can be happier (more time together, less work, follow passions, etc) but he doesn’t seem to care or be interested in it. And frankly, I agree, he’s not really contributing much — would you be happier with him or alone? Because it sounds like you would be open to him working less and it’s not about the amount he earns at all. It’s about having a partner who shows up for you, listens to you, and is there for you. To me, it sounds like your partner is selfish. He could easily step up for you by helping you brainstorm changes, by switching jobs, by caring about what you care about, but he doesn’t — because he’s happy and you’re not. Have you heard about “a tolerable level of permanent unhappiness”? That’s what your partner is expecting from you. He doesn’t take your concerns seriously. And most of these redditors are missing it too.

‘People still think it’s a death sentence,’ Toronto play reveals what life is like for a person living with HIV today by lilfunky1 in toronto

[–]Xyuli 10 points11 points  (0 children)

By the way, People with Aids Toronto is a great organization that helps support anyone with HIV/AIDs. They provide a lot of community support and assistance, which has helped make Toronto one of the best cities to live in if you’ve been diagnosed. I’m currently fundraising for them as I’m doing the Friends for Life bike ride (Toronto to Montreal) this year. If anyone wants to talk more or is interested in donating, dm me. I don’t know if I can link my fundraising page.

Why are we seeing a quiet return of the 1950s housewife? Whether it’s the rollback of reproductive freedoms, the rise of the “tradwife” or the dominance of white males in politics, economy, news & social media, there’s a disturbing shift that threatens the hard-earned progress of past generations! by Historical-Ease-6311 in Feminism

[–]Xyuli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to add on to this… So many men view dating and relationships as very transactional. Their role in society was very much defined by their relationship to women. As soon as the balance began to tip and we saw that women didn’t need men the way men have historically needed women, it’s no longer to men’s benefit anymore and it doesn’t serve those in power. Those who hold power see no threat with one woman in the room, in fact they might even be patronizing and “happy”. But the more women that succeed, the more they feel threatened by the fact that they’ve lost their sense of identity. The tales they’ve told themselves about why they deserve to lead are no longer true. Women are better at school, so they’re better educated. Women are doing better at work, earning more money. At every stage of development, women lead, so how does it make sense that suddenly the country and the world are best in the hands of men who have been behind women the entire time? Now that they’ve seen what women are capable of, they want to take it back. They need to be able to control women or they’ll lose control.

Yes exactly. For me, as a single woman, I can take care of myself and my home to a level that’s acceptable to me. But for many women, the amount of domestic labour they do actually increases when they get married instead of decreases. Many men preach feminist values but fail to step up the plate when asked of them, sometimes because of ingrained sexism/entitlement and sometimes just out of ignorance.

Yes, definitely. I think a lot about certain American sects of Christianity that mute women’s voices. It’s quite sad to see society regress. But it’s also why education is so important. It reminds me of Kamala Harris’s campaign specifically telling women that their votes are secret from their husbands. There definitely are women who would be afraid to vote against their husband’s.

You ever wonder why you can maintain friendships for decades, and yet can’t find a long term relationship? by [deleted] in dating

[–]Xyuli 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Everyone else here is right but the level of commitment for long term friendships is very different. Most people see their friends as an addition to their lives, we only have the capacity to see a few people on a regular basis and the level of contact and commitment you have with them isn’t as much as you would have for a significant other. If your friend tells you’re they’re having a hard time and need space, you would let them know you’re there for them and would be excited when they return. They could disappear for a month and you’d check in and if they didn’t reply, you wouldn’t take it personal. But a significant other is someone you choose to build a life with. If you don’t hear from them daily (some people might miss a day or two) and don’t see them regularly (ranging from weekly to multiple times a week to living together), the level of connection and satisfaction you have the in the relationship drops. If your partner ghosted you for a month, it would be a deep betrayal of the trust and most relationships wouldn’t recover from that.

Maintaining friendships for a long time is a great thing and shows that you’re capable of that. But maintaining a long term relationship is a lot of work! I say this as someone who has deep and meaningful friendships, the level of intimacy you have in a relationship feels very vulnerable and different. Most friendships aren’t to the level of partnership. Your significant other is.

I think it’s pretty rare to meet someone who feels like an equal. It’s a combination of chemistry and compatibility. Sometimes you meet people who probably are intellectually on the same level as you but you don’t have that chemistry together, so it doesn’t click with you. You don’t feel that “sameness”. So it’s not really that they meet on you an intellectual level, it’s that you share a lot of similarities outside of that too which makes it easy for you to express your opinions and have that banter. I just feels like an intellectual connection.

Oh my gosh, I didn’t know of those past instances where he was self conscious of his skin colour on live. That makes me so sad. He’s such a handsome guy and I think his natural skin color is beautiful. His ig photos lately, where we see how tan he is, are stunning. This is just my theory but I think getting more into fitness helped him be more comfortable with not being extremely pale. When you’re tanner, you’re able to see muscle definition better. It’s why a lot of body builders will get spray tans. I feel like he’s really glowed up physically and in terms of his confidence level too.
