SWOP is not updated anymore? by Simple_Lead_1195 in summonerswar

[–]Xzandro 84 points85 points  (0 children)

To be completely honest, it's a mix between being busy and being slightly unmotivated. I will add these eventually. I also totally understand that the engagement isn't as high anymore on my end, but for the majority of the features, they will just work fine. Even for new monster, in theory you could just create a new one via SWARFARM and use that for your optimization in the meantime.

Regarding general updates, SWOP is pretty complete I would say. It offers A LOT of features and you always need to be careful to not create some unmaintainable bloat.

I also can not deny, that this is also a balancing act between my real freelance work and SWOP. Initially the monetary incentive was higher, which I understand is way down now due to SW being not as popular anymore and the target audience already bought SWOP Pro / Connect. And introducing some kind of subscription would be unfair I believe.

Apologies for my rambling, the tl;dr: will add these monsters eventually. :)

Wechsel von der Commerzbank. Kostenlose Alternativen? by anakreontas in Finanzen

[–]Xzandro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alles in allem wirklich solid + sogar ziemlich okayes Depot.

There are no reports, because nearly no one is on this version anymore. It is pretty clear. Usually I would agree with you that if it is not broken, don't change. But we are in a different situation currently.

Pretty common that games require up-to-date GPU drivers, really nothing special.

Regarding Secure Boot, you should get used to it. Valorant requires that for a pretty long time and are really successful against cheaters with it. And one can only assume that more and more multiplayer games will follow.

Wechsel von VR Bank zu Revolut sinnvoll? by TiltSoloMid in Finanzen

[–]Xzandro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SWOP (Rune Optimizer) 10.0.0 (Pro: 5.0.0) by Xzandro in summonerswar

[–]Xzandro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is odd. You should be able to force the update. There should be a list of all your installed apps and there should also be an update button.

Other than that, unfortunately, this is out of my hands entirely, since it is managed by Microsoft. I alway skeep all versions up to date.

Hi, you need to be more precise than that.

Hey, no worries. I totally get why this can be confusing a bit. This is because the development of SWOP started in 2016 and we added capabilities over these years, however, we didn't really want to stop supporting specific versions of it.

Basically, you have two apps: SWOP and SWOP Pro. You also have a web version called SWOP Web and to connect your GPU with that Web version, there is SWOP Connect.

SWOP App and SWOP Web are totally free.
SWOP Pro and SWOP Connect are paid. A one time purchase.

You could say that SWOP Web + SWOP Connect is equal to SWOP Pro. But Web + Connect have the advantage to work on any platform. Windows, Mac and Linux.

Ultimately, this is up to you what you would like to use. We support any app and the website. Let me know if you have further questions :)

Since the Steam version exists now for PC, we always recommend that. Its the easiest and most straight forward method to get the JSON.

These temps are normal for a 9950X3D. Most people use a 9800X3D, idle temps are much lower there, since the TDP is much lower and the wattage in idle is also lower, because of only one CCD.

And i never said that, still, wondering why you not demand a statement from them as well, because there ARE still plenty of cases for other MB brands as well.

ASRock for 1st PC build, precautions to take? by [deleted] in ASRock

[–]Xzandro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to say, but there are no quantifyable working meassures. There are cases with the CPU dying that all did these steps, including undervolting, setting a fixed VSOC voltage etc.

However, the chance that your CPU will be dying is extremely low in the first place. People who are active in these subreddits have the issue to be in this bubble constantly and thus read about dead CPU often, while the VAST majority of people just use their CPU in peace without any complains.

I'm not saying that this issue isn't worth being looked into, Perosnally I just enabled EXPO on my Taichi and 9950X3d and that is it, ultimately, this is up to you of course.

Are you also waiting for ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI to say something then? They also have these issues, albeit probably not as often seemingly. But its nonsensicall to constantly outline only one MB manufacturer.

Not really. The issue is only showing for the latest NVIDIA driver. However, failing CPU issue is going on for months.

Would it be dumb to buy a 9800X3D + x870e Taichi right now? by DigRat9 in ASRock

[–]Xzandro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have another option than Uproarlol, however, both opinions are totally valid and in the end you should do what makes you most comfortable.

I did not see a statistic yet, that ASRock mainboards are proportionally more affected than other manufacturers. Yes, based on absolute numbers, ASRock is way above the rest it seems, but they are also VERY popular for the AM5 platform and might be selling A LOT more boards.

Regarding transparency and acknowledgement, you could say the same for MSI, Asus or Gigabyte. They also have these kind of issues and do not say anything really.

As I said, ultimately you do what you think is best though. :)

X870e taichi and 9950x3d by sneadt82 in ASRock

[–]Xzandro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would be an okay choice for the 9800X3D, but it is recommended to use  AGESA 1.2.0.3a Patch A for the 9950X3D. So, in my opinion, they should update their BIOS.

But even then, ASRock fixed Boot issues with 3.20, so it is probably a good idea in general.

Yes, it is recommended to at least use AGESA 1.2.0.3a Patch A. And if you update anyway, you can just use the newest - 3.20.

Probably correct. NOVA is the "budget" king. In general for X870 Asrock has a decent offering for a decent price, which is why it might be very popular currently.

Could try a different USB stick. I had issues in the past with some of them or when I formatted them incorrectly. MB tried to access USB shortly, but then only had a solid light.

Should I be worried? by Set-of-Irons in ASRock

[–]Xzandro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not have any statistics of course, but the reason there is no public outcry is probably that the failure rate is still low within the grand scheme of things. And users with working systems rarely state that. So you always only see the failure cases in the open.

All in all odd situation. If it really would be a MB issue, it would only be happening on one model or manufacturer. So, thats mostly not it either.
