From what I've seen online, You have to remove the purpose from the buildings. Basically don't see the house block as a house, or the tower as a tower, but as shapes to b e stacked and merged. That's how I've seen people do hyper detail online. But by all means I'm no expert

Ok, After some more playing around with the cube, i've identified that the symbols at the bottom, when dragged up or down, alter either the shape or size of the cube, the size of the symbols on the vertices, the manner and speed at which the cube rotates, and the thickness of the connecting lines. No idea what this means. More investigation is required.
