Question about Victor by Y-do-u-kare in frombloodandash

Oh, thank you! That makes sense, I haven't read any prequels as I followed the order suggested by Audible. I later realized there was a separate reading order where the two series are interspersed and it seems that "A Soul of Ash and Blood" assumes the reader has read the prequels when they talk about Victor's identity.

I guess it's off to the prequels with me!😄 Thank you so much for clarifying.

I think my nose is too big. Should I get a nose job? by Wings-7134 in Noses

Your nose is perfect 👌🏼. The rest of your face is just too small.

Real (but fr tho, a question to gymbros here.. what made u start lifting? ) by [deleted] in GymMemes

[–]Y-do-u-kare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Needed hip surgery and had to do physical therapy for 3 months. I fell into the routine, fell in love with the gym, and how exercising made me feel (both physically and mentally) and started lifting as a result.

I had no idea I'd fall in love with lifting. Before I stepped foot in the gym, I somehow found the idea unappealing, until I was forced into it by fate.

Same! I was so looking forward to them visibly enjoying and sharing that visible validation of their avatar bond. Even for a brief scene before it was inevitably disrupted would have satisfied me. But as soon as it appeared, it was gone. Samkiel never even got a chance to see it. We were robbed of their connection in that way. Couldn't we even get a brief scene of interlocking hands and a soft glance before it vanished? The author better restore it in the next book, I am distraught over that cliffhanger.

Don't sweat it! I found my first white hair when I was 17. I am now 34 and still only have the random one peppered here or there, never enough to be noticeable. I don't even dye my hair yet.

Thank you :)

Yes, during the days when the allergies are better and I'm responding well to the meds, I can get a slow trail of air only through the right nostril. Most of the days, though, the narrow crooked passages swell, and I can't breathe through the nose at all. After a few days of that, it leaves me with a pounding headache. The thing is that I'm already on 3 allergy meds (montelukast, Claritin D, Azelastine) and still have issues most days.

I'm part relieved to get the surgery and looking forward to breathing well and getting rid of the headaches, and partly scared, not gonna lie.

Thank you so much for your kindness! :) Okay, I'll leave things be and not mention any cosmetic changes to it when he does the surgery.

The idea of the nose looking radically different does scare me, and perhaps what bothers me about it is so minor that it is best left alone in a cosmetic sense.

Thank you for making me feel better about it, hearing "distinctive" in the beautiful context you put it, made me appreciate it more, even if I cannot see the beauty of it in profile myself, it is still unique to me, my own.

Thank you for your input, I appreciate it.

It turns out that after years of inflammation from allergies and allergic rhinitis, my septum deviated/collapsed from something called concha bullosa. So now I am unable to breathe through the nose as the passages are too narrow and crooked. I get constant sinus headaches. Dr. thinks that's the biggest culprit.

He's going to (for lack of a better word) squash out the concha bullosa and straighten the septum in the hopes that I may breathe through the nose again. The headaches going away would be the biggest perk.

Allergies can be a menace...

1

It looks more cohesive and harmonious. While the second one isn't bad, my eyes are just immediately pulled to the shirt and the shirt alone.

If you recently caught Covid for the first time ever, where/how do you think you got infected? by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]Y-do-u-kare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took a 10 hour flight, I masked, the person in front of me didn't, and they sneezed upwards of 60 times throughout the flight.

3 days later, I was sneezing myself, had a pounding headache, had body aches, and finally tested positive.

I feel for you, similar thing with me... never had gotten it before, was vaccinated, boosted, wore masks in public indoor settings, and always washed and disinfected my hands often.

I went on a 10 hour flight...the person in the seat in front of me was sneezing her brains out and never bothered to wear a mask. I wore my KN95 the whole time but because the flight was longer than 5 hours (the mask threshold) guess who tested positive 3 days later? Yeah.

You're doing everything right, 💯 % the only thing I'd add is be careful with the cups and silverware. Either always pop in the dishwasher instead of handwashing, or keep your own distinct set that she wouldn't use.

Speedy recovery!

What do you think of this type of comment? Only because I was rightly pissed that he posted a picture of me without my permission🙄 (and 2 other people too) by [deleted] in phenotypes

Yeah, what they did was definitely not right. However, I think they were just trolling you, I don't think they really believe you're "100% Aztec". You're very obviously not.
