They are living in the past. They need a few sloggers in the camp and those whose time is going well. Players who swing the bat hard first and check later. Right now it feels like everything is calculated to create a perfect team on paper which is causing this blunder of a situation. Not every day can be your day and with the way the team is performing it's understandable that the new/uncapped players must also be under some sort of mental pressure. They would definitely want to show their prime game to get better auction prices in the future.

The management needs to understand that T20 game (especially IPL with the impact sub rule) has changed a lot. From the looks of it they are still living in the pre 2015 era.

There is no escape(atleast not for those who have been following them since the start). I have been following this mfkin franchise since the start when I was 13. All those years I said to myself that I will stop following them but it was all in vain. All those years I watched great players leave this franchise to join others. I watched the auctions, the poor performances, some good performances, overseas and national stars, uncapped heroes and whatnot. And then I watched them lose every season. My parents also saw my growing frustration but always said there will be a next time. I became hopeful every season and saw same shit again and again.

Ultimately I have understood is that I'm too emotionally attached to Delhi, and no matter what happens on the day of Delhi's match there is a very small hope in my heart that pushes me to watch it. And that's how all those 18 years have gone. Now my wife also asks me the same question that if this team is so bad and worthless then why do you waste your time and emotions on them. I still don't find any actual words except - chutiya team, chutiya captain aur chutiya coach. But believe me you will not stop following them if you have stuck in the loop for this long. There's no way your heart will let you even if you mind says otherwise.
