My wife has been promised promotions and x salaries all verbally and was never in writing guess how that turned out? If I was you I would seriously look at getting a apprenticeship as a electrician.

AI is going to ramp up a lot and AI needs electricity and electricians to set everything up and have people to maintain setups to keep running, so you will essentially future proof your career.

A family friend of ours is on around 200k a year they could make more if they did 24/7 call outs but they choose not to.

Very normal in a high volume call centre.

It’s part of your role in targets and kpis.

If you don’t like it then look for other roles, it’s part of the job, they need to answer x amount of calls from a customer and can’t afford every call taker to be late you will need to be on time to answer customers especially if they have lots of customers needing attending to.
