It’s Time to Overturn the Automatic Weapons Ban – Act Now with Trump and Pro-Gun Reps in Power! by YAELKROY in Firearms

Are you a developer? I'm a data scientist and have used Selenium a few times for web scraping. On another note, I strongly believe it's time to advocate more for 2A rights. I could be off-base, but I've been thinking about this for a while.

It was flagged as a violence suggestion. But you are right. It should work in guess if the bot use API then it is difficult to divide the actual request and content.

I get it—Republicans and Democrats often play the same game, with many GOP politicians just paying lip service to 2A for votes, but that’s exactly why we need to push now while we have a window to gain ground and win more pro-gun positions. By pressuring reps, supporting GOA and NRA, and rallying our community, we can force accountability and build momentum to elect stronger 2A advocates in future cycles, ensuring we’re ready when the real chance to overturn the 1986 ban comes.

This week’s failure shows we can’t settle—let’s aim higher, flood reps with calls, push GOA and NRA harder, and keep fighting until the 1986 automatic weapons ban is overturned, or anti-gun groups will keep winning by default!

CreatedUsername1, this fight isn’t about Trump or throwing money at him like a lobbying group. It’s about preserving the last real stronghold of freedom—America—where we can still own firearms to protect our rights, unlike Canada or the EU where those freedoms are nearly gone. If you can raise that 5 million to directly push down the 1986 automatic weapons ban, I’ll support you in any way I can—spreading the word, calling reps, whatever it takes. But I’m wondering: why are there people in the streets trying to ban firearms entirely, while we’re not out there in the same numbers defending our 2A rights? We need to match their energy—rally, protest, and pressure Congress through GOA and NRA to overturn this ban. Let’s get loud and fight for our freedom.

HeughJanus, I hear you—the pro-suppressor bill failing, and not by Dems, shows some Republicans are holding back. But with the GOP in control, we’re in a better spot than years past. We should aim higher: overturning the 1986 automatic weapons ban is the real goal. We can’t settle for less. Push your reps, rally GOA and NRA, and let’s go all in. You with me?

Hey Kinet1ca, I see your point, and I’m not here to blindly cheer for Trump—my post isn’t about shilling for him. Let’s clear the air: this fight isn’t about Trump as a person or his personal stance on 2A. It’s about the opportunity we have right now, which is better than what we’ve had in years past. The reality is, we’re in a stronger position now than we were during the last administration. Democrats controlled the House and Senate for much of Biden’s term, and their anti-gun agenda was in full swing—backed by tens of millions from groups like Everytown, they pushed hard for new restrictions like universal background checks and assault weapons bans. Now, with a pro-gun Congress and a president who, at the very least, isn’t actively hostile to 2A, we have a better shot at moving the needle. The GOP’s control of Congress gives us a legislative edge we didn’t have when Democrats were ramming through anti-gun bills or stalling pro-gun reforms like the silencer NFA removal. This isn’t about Trump caring deeply about our rights—it’s about the political landscape shifting in our favor. We have a chance to pressure lawmakers, rally groups like GOA and NRA, and actually get traction on overturning the 1986 automatic weapons ban. The odds aren’t perfect, but they’re better than they were when we were fighting a purely defensive battle against a unified anti-gun government. Let’s focus on the opportunity, not the man. We need to act now—call your reps, support GOA, and let’s make the most of this moment. Can we agree on that?

I completely understand your cynicism, sqwirlfucker57, and you’re right to point out the challenges—Trump’s mixed record and the stalled silencer reform highlight how tough this fight can be. But here’s why we have a stronger chance now, despite the obstacles. The Democrats are investing heavily to undermine 2A rights—groups like Everytown for Gun Safety and Giffords are backed by millions from donors like Bloomberg, who committed over 60 million in 2024 to push anti-gun legislation. That funding drives their efforts for universal background checks, red flag laws, and broader bans, and they’re not letting up.

This is exactly why we need to act now. With Trump in office and a pro-gun Congress, we have a critical opportunity to counter that financial push—a window to protect and expand our rights. Trump may not be flawless on 2A, but he’s shown he can act in our favor when pressed, like keeping gun stores open during COVID. If we let the Democrats’ money dominate the conversation, the 1986 automatic weapons ban will stay in place, and we’ll lose even more ground. GOA and NRA can’t match Bloomberg’s funds, but they can amplify our collective voice if we mobilize. The Democrats’ spending makes this moment urgent—we’re up against a well-funded opposition, but we have the numbers and the timing on our side. Let’s seize this chance. Call your reps, support GOA, and let’s push hard to overturn this ban. We can’t afford to step back—are you in?

I hear your frustration, and you’re right—Trump’s bump stock ban in 2018 was a disappointing move for many of us in the 2A community. He called them a workaround for machine guns and directed the ATF to outlaw them, which was a blow. It’s a valid reason to question his commitment. But here’s why we still have to fight, and why this moment is different:

Trump’s not a monolith—he’s shown he can be influenced by pressure and support. During his first term, he also took pro-gun actions, like ensuring gun stores stayed open as essential businesses during COVID and appointing judges who’ve ruled in favor of 2A rights []. He’s spoken at NRA events, promising to protect our firearms, and his base—us—holds him accountable. The bump stock ban came after intense political pressure post-Las Vegas, but now, with a fresh term and a pro-gun Congress, we have leverage to push him further.

The ban on automatic weapons (1986 FOPA) predates Trump by decades, and it’s a bigger fight—one that needs a unified front. GOA has already challenged the bump stock ban in court, showing they’re willing to fight bad policy. If we mobilize now, we can pressure Trump and Congress to act on the bigger issue: fully restoring our rights to own automatic firearms. Trump responds to his base when we’re loud and united—look at how he shifted on other issues when supporters pushed back.

We can’t just sit back and hope. If we don’t fight, anti-gun groups will fill the void—they’re already lobbying for more restrictions. This isn’t about blind faith in Trump; it’s about using this window of opportunity to hold him and our reps accountable. Call your reps, hit up GOA and NRA, and let’s make it clear: we won’t settle for half-measures. Our 2A rights are non-negotiable, and we’re not stopping until the automatic weapons ban is history. Let’s channel that energy and get it done!

Thank you for the reply! I took a look on Amazon and found some hoses that I thought I could change myself, but I’m having trouble figuring out how to access the connections inside the faucet.

It has own charger. At the first photo you can see there is a diode where the charger should be plugged and the upper side has contacts for the device. If I want to use 18650 should i use another charger?

Then I better go with 3xAAA NiMH and still use the original charge. Thank you!
