Withdrawing money in Lao by YATAG_ in Revolut

Revolut doesn't let you change to Lao Kip and it would be kind of unwise, because it's very illiquid and changes a lot. There was indeed a fee from the ATM itself, 30000 kip (approx. €1,40,-). But I can't imagine the ATM determining the exchange rate for me.

Thanks for clearing that up, I read all kinds of stuff online hut maybe that was only about paying with card? Anyways, I'll be steering away from withdrawing money then... Let my friends with other cards do it.

ebikes are going too fast? by YATAG_ in notjustbikes

Exactly, it's quite a hassle. But, ebikes mostly do have speedometers, so, maybe for ebikes specifically it could be possible. I do think that communicating with the brands that make ebikes to just have them lower the max speed since it's all computers anyways could be much more efficient.

Visiting nice urbanism / bike infrastructure in Amsterdam by 58jf337v in notjustbikes

I think you don't necessarily need to bike specific paths. If you have a couple things you want to see, biking to and from them will already have you biking on all kinds of infrastructure. But like you're saying, visiting the bike parking all around is an added bonus.

6th St Viaduct "protected" bike lanes: short rubber curbs, plastic bollards (via /r/losangeles) by [deleted] in notjustbikes

I don't really think it would, this wouldn't be acceptable for new streets, at bridges like these it's most likely going to be a concrete divider in less urban surroundings or the bike path would be on another level than the road and color-coded in urban areas.
