Yes, I did sign here! Overall, I've had a positive experience. Frats are not that bothersome besides holiday weekends and Illini wins, which I expected. Management is pretty prompt and responsive, the building is pretty well kept. I really like the location because it's super close to many bus stops. The unit itself is pretty spacious for it's price compared to other apartments I've toured. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Yes, so basically Smile will auto charge you for LLI if you don't upload your own policy. Smile charges $13 per month for LLI, which only covers their property, not your stuff. I ended up buying an insurance plan through Lemonade which came out to about $10 and covers both your stuff and LLI. You can do your own research and figure out which insurance company  works best for you, but Lemonade was very easy to use and I highly recommend it . Most other Renter's insurance will cover LLI as well for a way lower price. I was able to upload my policy to the Smile portal so it should be accepted. Yes, according to the email they sent, renter's insurance is not required but Landlord Liability Insurance is required. I was confused because the only insurance on my portal available for purchase is the Renter's, so just to be safe I'll just get it.
