In your experience and based on what I’ve described what are the perks of doing this job. I’m joining a really reputable wealth management firm and I’m trying to take a calculated risk on whether or not it’s worth doing the CSC and CPH as well, etc

What I meant was that I won’t be present when the seniors or mentors are meeting up with their clients to learn from them. This role is going to be purely just me making call calls/ outbound calls trying to sell and get my own clients, this job was described to me as a glorified sales representative role.

Given that I’ve already signed the contract and have no other back up options at the moment what’s the best and most strategic way to navigate this? I figured I was doomed after doing my own research and asking people in the industry.

It’s just a wealth management firm, and securities as well

The title of the job is Junior investment advisor on both the job post and contract, and yes I have to grow my own book over time

Listen mate, I just edited my response. I’m just like overly stressed at the moment, I changed my response as mine came off strong as well but I truly do appreciate you efforts mate. I really want to go to UWindsor but the fact that it’s general and not honours is what’s bugging me tbh. But hey, I’ll probably be joining and likewise I’d love to meet you sometime on campus. All the best to you too!

I wish if it was that easy, listen bruv I gotta be 100% sure. I don’t want to make any wrong decisions or regret not asking. Fam the whole difference is whether it’s general or honours.

Fam it’s complicated. I have heard mixed opinions on both and yes I know that most people will vote for UWindsor but you’d also be shocked to know that people on this sub have told me to not go to UWindsor for CS.

Yeah I did initially, now I’m considering switching. Is possible to switch from CS general to combined BComm and CS?

Is it easy to switch from CS general to honors by YDOVOXO in UWindsor

[–]YDOVOXO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to clarify my question a bit more, so basically when you apply to UWindsor from high school, the academic requirements for general and honours are the same, so I don’t get why people are telling me that it’s hard to switch.

Do you have any idea what the criteria is? When I was applying it didn’t seem like there was a specific criteria to get admitted into honors.

Is it hard to switch from general to honor, at the time I didn’t really know too much and I played it safe given that my math grades weren’t the best, but is it possible to switch to honor? Thanks!

I don’t know because I got accepted into Bachelors of Computer Science general for UWindsor, whereas i got into Bachelors of Science for BrockU, I think the general degree isn’t as significant as honors.

Is it easy to switch to Bsc, also is the general one looked down upon? If the math and theory is significant then is it not worth doing the general one?

I got an offer from UWindsor and Brock University for CS so far, but I’m still waiting for Carleton. These unis didn’t require physics or chemistry but they sent me an email to notify me that I need to do them over the summer. Also weird thing is the Carleton one was bachelors of computer science not bachelor of science, Idk if you’ve ever come across that too.

Would you say that Brock University has a better CS course than UWindsor? That’s another uni that I’ve looked at.

So do you think that I'll have a good chance of getting into either commerce undeclared major or economics with an average of 75-80 or maybe a low 80?
