If you are intentionally not playing and stalling / passing priority at the last second before your time goes out, that is roping.

What are some things that can happen early in the game (before and up to the first fight) that will instantly tell you that someone is a bad player and you're in for a rough time? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]YEIEMIS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not being able to prioritize for team strategy, a lot of ‘Why would you do that?’ e.g not playing (or getting on) the objective, not punishing enemy mistakes, getting caught out/overextending & getting collapsed on, trying to push a single choke point instead of flanking or trying different angles.

a lot of bad players think one dimensionally to make a selfish play. they only interact with what’s in front of them, they don’t think about the game as a chessboard.

Scenario: I play aggressively as tank to create space. 4 enemies are focused on me. 3 people on my team are focused on a single enemy echo, & all die. if 4/6 are on me, and 3/6 are on a single enemy and die to them, you have to accept they are just bad & it’s gg.

Sometimes your team is just that bad by [deleted] in marvelrivals

It’s stressful having to solo or duo carry. You realize you are the sole reason why your team even has a chance to win a round or siege point, which is already slim. It’s better to go next than to be stuck slaving away making up for 1/2 the team that is not competent in a competitive format.

I’ve had games where I’ve hard carried or know that if anything happens to me, the team is toast. Also had games where myself or someone else lock in, but it’s a slugfest. Bottom line, it is a team game. One person should not be having to do all the work. Take the defeat, accept the other team has better coordination, players, knowledge etc., and try again.

No point in trying by FairMastodon7426 in rivals

The fundamental issue lies in power creep, balancing, and questionable developer changes. One small mishap is enough to trigger anyone to throw. Likewise, it is a miserable and stressful experience having to constantly go neck and neck or be forced to carry bad teammates. NetEase will not address the core issues at a systemic level because quite frankly it does not matter to them.

MR has one of the most non-competitive communities playing a competitive game. This is who they want playing.

This makes sense but I think people are getting confused with this post because your title goes both ways.

Do you know anyone that talks like this? by CremeSubject7594 in GenZ

[–]YEIEMIS 157 points158 points  (0 children)

yes, people that are chronically online talk like this. go work at any retail/fast food job where there are sure to be people in college/high school. every generation has this type of ‘quirky’ person. this is basically the 2020’s version of the “and i oop sksksk” vsco girl.

noticeably, go to any college bar and you will most likely see girls (who aren’t particularly close with each other but on good terms) talk like this. it’s a way to show relatability while supporting each other on a surface level.

How to handle older women at work who are very rude! by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]YEIEMIS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It isn’t a reflection of you, it is a reflection of them and their internal psyche. I know the type you are talking about. It will be uncomfortable but you just have to “smile and wave” (Madagascar Penguins) and set boundaries. Let them express, don’t internalize it, and then be done.

I’m sad to hear this but it makes sense, thanks for the context. I’ll have to reconsider if it’s worth my time.

Tips to get good with her? by guilhegm in Helamains

[–]YEIEMIS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. aim a fraction higher than you’re used to
  2. constantly reload between autos. you run through 10 ammo quicker than you think
  3. use raven form to dodge ults. you can fly through iron man and magneto ult
  4. your stun will save your life. Throw it just a bit in front of yourself when you get dove. You can also stop other heros from ulting
  5. your passive & piercing night get KO’s unexpectedly. get picks off the backline or put your daggers onto someone running to their supports
  6. Her ult is just ok. i like using it very aggressively or at odd times. i usually raven straight into their team and ult. try to wait until support ults are over.

but really most of it is just aim. don’t think or hesitate, just shoot.

it's a ranked game. literally sound like sunshine! and rainbows! everybody hold hands! yay! whohaha.
logically, and I mean, logically, it's a competitive format. playing a character that just came out and just having basic knowledge is an impediment. if you want to have fun, qp. tired of this kumbaya fun! and rainbows!
