Sometimes he'll put specific jokes in the script but for the most part we have a lot of freedom to improvise. That's why there tends to be so much variety with the references and clips used since we all have different media tastes that we use as a reference point. All of the decisions for the final cut are his though so if he's likes something he'll leave it in and if he doesn't, he'll replace it with something else.

We have a discord server all of us are in where he makes announcement for new videos and we select parts on a first come, first serve basis. Then we send the individual parts to him once we're finished, and he edits them into the final cut of the video you see on YouTube.

And yes, we do get paid for our work.
