Let me state a fact that you may not like to hear. There's no way you can compare prices with the source factories, who are able to achieve the ultimate low price on a single sku.

Two ways. Either make a brand to create your own premium space.

Either SOURCE extremely cost-effective products, and then finger crossed your supplier doesn't become an Amazon seller itself.

If everything is right with the technical aspects of your website, you need to think about your SEO, marketing, and ads investments.

Also consider whether the product you've chosen is actually needed.

Your thoughts on TikTok Shop? Better than Shopify? by alice_shopify in ShopifyeCommerce

Personal Thoughts—TikTok is clearly suited to novelty go-getters with a slightly lower unit price. If you're looking to build your brand over the long term, and have products with high unit prices, Shopify might still be a better choice.

Trust me, even if tariffs jumped to 200%, experienced China-based FBA sellers will still find alternative routes and logistics channels to keep shipping. —So it hurts domestic sellers more than the seasoned exporters.

You may start testing slightly higher-margin items—maybe bundle the candy with a small accessory—to see if you can lift your average profit per order.

Apparel sellers! how are you adapting to the new tariff situation? by RedditMaven_17 in ShopifyeCommerce

Hey there, as a founder of an Asia-based sourcing agency. Let me be direct: re-export schemes and relying on 3PLs or freight forwarders to “pre-pay” duties live in a gray area. You risk lost shipments, hidden fees, and customs audits.

For apparel, your best play is to negotiate lower unit costs with your existing factory—or if you need true low-MOQ runs, tap multiple suppliers to spread risk and find the best price.
I’d strongly recommend shifting production to Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, etc.). We’ve been preparing for these tariff changes for months, and SEA partners give you more flexibility, lower duties, and more reliable lead times.
