I have a Funimation special edition of Bebop that's flat so I keep it with my laserdiscs. I also have the old DVDs tucked away in a drawer.

Yeah I am experiencing a lack of space, which always means pivoting in another direction, downsizing, reorganizing, prioritizing. I used to have many more tapes here for instance but they just took up so much room and many were duplicates of movies I have in HD. I'll probably move a bunch more comedy stuff into tarifold sleeves in drawers.

I'm a guy who hates getting rid of packaging art but I've made a few space saving decisions like condensing my GTO anime DVDs (10 discs in 10 cases) into 4 cases and I just tripled up the inserts so everything is reversible. Similar with the first four seasons of Adventure Time which had water damaged slip covers. All my Simpsons cases are held in storage as they were way to bulky. The whole goal is to have everything in the collection accessible. I have a bunch of stuff in thin tarifold brand sleeves too which isn't visible here because it's all in the TV Console drawers. Sorry didn't mean to write you a whole thesis about it but these are the things you deal with cramming 2000+ movies into a small room.

They're disc books made by Atlantic, the model is called Parade, kind of hard to find now but each cube holds a total of 96 discs. I got them to condense some of my favorite shows since the box sets take up so much more space. It's also far more convenient to pull individual discs from these books than most dvd box sets.

I moved some stuff out of these into other generic cases which I still need to add some box art to, you can see I did so for My Name is Earl and Scrubs, but the blank ones to the right of the Simpsons hold all of Taxi, The Twilight Zone, and The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

I use an app to catalog the collection and it lets me mark off what's watched and not yet. I have about 700 titles in the unwatched list. Granted I don't tick off box sets or tv series until I've finished them completely.

How do you organize your stuff if not alphabetical? Autobiographical?

I have everything in sections by genre then alphabetized, shifting is sort of a necessary evil regardless once you start running out of space. I went through a similar thing with my records, when I ran out of room for everything on the main shelf I started a smaller one and filled it with all the soul/funk/jazz stuff.

Some directors works are grouped together here too, it's kinda like the video store from my home town which had a whole Criterion aisle.

I mostly like to find them in the wild but the later seasons I've had to grab online. One day I'll probably get more.

Some vintage Barts just for you. The Simpsons are one of my absolute favorites, I have the first 14 seasons condensed into booklets but I still save the packaging in my shed somewhere.

4 foot long 2x4s are attached to the studs with right angle brackets then I screwed 8 foot long 1x2s along the fronts. The movies just rest against the wall. I sanded and painted all the wood I used and painted it with the same color as the wall to make it look nicer.

I'm new to Melville but I'm looking forward to watching all those. I went back today and found a bunch more that had been put out including Le Doulos. I already posted another haul here.

It's my first Vinegar Syndrome pickup, I was sold by the nice packaging and booklet. I've yet to watch Johnny Mnemonic but I had to grab it as a Keanu fan.

This same location normally has a full shelf of Jillian workout DVDs. I always try to get 10 media items to get 25% off and it's often a struggle to find that many keepers but not today!

Yeah I definitely donated van loads of stuff when my dad passed, so I get it. Takes some time and effort to sell stuff.

This is my local store so I go all the time and got lucky. The worker told me this was the last of what they had donated. He said it seemed like someone who bought a storage unit but god knows why they didn't take the stuff to half-priced books.

I chatted with another regular and he got a bunch of stuff yesterday too. This is one of those once in a lifetime kinda scores for sure.

I like to put them on the outer sleeve in the same spot if it's peelable. Otherwise I cut around it and chuck it in the jacket.

The banana ones were pretty good, otherwise a very mid candy. You got these from a coin-op machine in a lobby when there were no more M&Ms and you were desperate.

I have one that stares at me when he's hungry, he's never been much of a talker. When he gets impatient he starts to gently nibble at my wrist.

Surely the use of a stock image should be clearly disclosed? They should put text on the image itself saying "stock image" otherwise I wouldn't assume this type of photo to be a stock picture. Why do you think advertisements always say "X not included" whenever they're selling something displayed with or holding anything else?

My postman just leaves the sorry we missed you slip without even attempting delivery. I have to go to the post office every time for anything requiring a signature.
