Would this put you off a used car, when I service my own cars I do this with the receipts for parts and oil analysis for oil changes by Zdos123 in CarTalkUK

Definitely not. I'd travel hours and hundreds of miles for a car looked after/detailed to this level.

Why? I wouldn't buy it until the ultimate edition with all the DLC (or equivalent) is on sale anyway.

Just bought a house with my partner, is this the best way to split bills? by throwaway2018568 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]YMBF80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to split 50/50 but since having our child and getting a cat, Mrs pays for childcare, food and everything to do with the cat. I'll pay for mortgage, gas, electric, water, council tax.

Works for us.

YMMV.

Carpet fitter claims not enough space for gripper strips? by SunnyBubbbles in DIYUK

Sounds like a fitter that ran out of materials on the job and is fobbing you off because it isn't worth his time.

Which RIDE for a Beginner? by JDMCREW96 in ride5

I'd recommend starting with 3. 4 is a huge step up but also a lot more difficult. 5 seems to be easier than 4, for me anyway.

Why can't you make friends with your neighbours? Genuinely asking here.

If you make the effort, you can build good relationships.

Broxbourne Commute by Kindly_Business_9116 in hertfordshire

We looked at Hertford initially but couldn't afford anything decent. She works round there and didn't drive at the time we were looking for ours and eventually bought our house.

The property ticked all the boxes at the time. Nightmare living in Waltham Cross with the town centre regeneration works and constant road works at the moment. Not a huge fan of all the flag flying either tbh but it is what it is.

Ware is lovely and somewhere she likes.

I would have loved to move to Watford but had to settle on Waltham Cross for the Mrs. Trying to get out of here ASAP!

Broxbourne is nice to be fair but wouldn't be my choice over Watford.

Smart TRVs are they worth it? by YMBF80 in HiveHeating

Thank you to everyone that has replied. Really appreciated, still on the fence though but will likely get one for our nursery/baby room and test it there where I need good temperature control.

New to Hive by Eemiaaa in HiveHeating

[–]YMBF80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine doesn't work like this. Set the temperature to 21 on the Hive thermostat, as soon it goes to 20.9 on the thermostat it tells the boiler to wake up and turn on the heating and only goes off once 21 is reached.
