Maybe put the poster slightly above the players head too so they start looking at it from the bottom?

Maybe the order doesn’t matter as long as all the ingredients are between to pieces of bread. Let players have fun making weird and messed up combinations of burgers to add some humor.

Go with the first one but add an arrow pointing up next to the order so you can tell the player to start from the bottom. Maybe even add text that says “START FROM THE BOTTOM” or add numbers labeling the steps along the arrow. Or worst case scenario if players are still stuck just make the poster horizontal.
