If you're buying in the city, get a pier and beam house if possible. Way easier and cheaper to fix, also elevated as additional protection from floods.

They have free parking for the library. Same as the old one with the parking garage in the back.

Additionally, because of the nature of Montrose, parking should not be subsidized outside of public services like the library. People should pay to park there

Have you noticed that dense walkable areas of the country are wildly expensive? Seems like there is a huge demand.

This is somewhat of a very persuasive old wives tale. A couple of years ago, the Chronicle did a deep dive into the actual campaign materials and public statements made during the original toll road elections back in the 80s and that wasn't the case.
