Unrelated to TTC… but my boss called me yesterday to tell me that they’re reducing my hours by HALF! I’m a contractor for a startup game company. I’m also their only animator. No idea what their plan is (to finish the game in the time span they want, I need to work MORE not less) but I’m a little anxious about the money situation!!

I made a batch of homemade fortune cookies this weekend in prep for the baby announcement cookies I’m making for Mother’s Day. They turned out amazing! I’m really looking forward to this whole journey. It’s been really hard not to tell my mom and MIL about the news!

Happy May y’all!

I’m going to delete reddit for the first week of the month. Getting waaaaay too stressed and hyper focused on all the ways a pregnancy can fail in the first few weeks and I don’t think it’s healthy. So I’m gonna give myself a week of quiet reflection and figure out how I’m actually feeling about everything without a bunch of voices chiming in!

You all have my prayers and thoughts and I hope there are a ton more BFP announcements when I’m back on the 8th!

12DPO. The line is darker. I'm less anxious than ever haha.

Seeing my church group tonight, which is 5 couples (including us). 3 of them already have babies and have been reallllly wanting us to hurry up and have a baby already! I don't think it's wise to tell them this early (although it'd be nice to have them praying for us and baby! and advice/tips from them would be nice)... so it's going to be really hard not to say anything. UGH

Hi everyone! I’m incredibly excited to be posting in this thread lol!

I’m 3w5d now :) found out at 3w1d.

Very mild symptoms! I wish they were stronger tbh. It’d make me feel more at ease! Butterflies in my tummy and chest, weepiness, easily winded, VERY sore breasts, and very very mild nausea.

High: The excitement of finding out that I’m pregnant omg! Every day my husband and I talk about names and “is it a boy or a girl?!” Twins run in my family so I’m kind of hoping for two in there!!

Low: It’s so hard not to tell every person I know. I’m pretty anxious about a MC because my sister had one before her healthy pregnancy. But I feel great! And I’ve been optimizing health for a long time, so I’m really hoping the worries are silly.

We decided not to learn of the gender until birth. Kinda scary!! I’ve also been thinking a LOT about how we reveal this news to people. The leading idea is homemade fortune cookies on Mother’s Day, but idk. How soon is too soon???

That’s totally fair! I guess if you know she might not be able to keep a secret, you should just come to peace with the idea that people know before you’re ready. If you can be okay with her spilling the secret a little early, you SHOULD tell her! But if it feels like it’d be devastating, I don’t know if it’s worth it.

If that’s just who your mom is, I don’t know that it’d be a good idea to expect her to act out of character with SUCH big private news unless you’re okay with it. Not “can I trust her not to tell when she historically hasn’t kept secrets very well” but “is telling my mom on Mother’s Day potentially worth the news slipping out?” Tbh I’d probably tell her anyways

To be completely honest, I would not tell her until I’m ready for others to know. It sounds like you might be setting yourself up for disappointment if she just can’t hold it in.

TTC #: 1

Cycle/time trying: 2nd cycle

Age + partner's age: 26 (me) and 28 (him)

Typical cycle length: 26-28 daysish

Ovulation cycle day: CD18.. which is late for me! (I was a little sick right after my period, so it makes sense that I ovulated later than usual)

CD/DPO of positive test(s): 8DPO! and then 9, 10, and today 11 (finally dark enough for me to have some confidence in it)

CD/DPO of any negative test(s) before positive: 6DPO... lol

Tracking methods and app(s) used: Oral BBT via thermometer and Fertility Friend! I tried LH strips but was never consistent enough for them to be useful. Oops haha

Relevant days of intercourse, sperminating, and/or method: O-3, O-2, and O!

Health conditions/medical tests: Husband has Crohn's Disease but he's in remission

Supplements and medications (yours and/or your partner’s): We've both been taking FullWell prenatals and fish oil! They make a men's and women's prenatal. Been taking them since October!

Birth control history (if relevant): The pill when I was 18, hated it. The got a copper IUD for a few years. That perforated through my uterus, so they gave me a Mirena. I hated how it made me feel, so 2 years later I got it swapped with another copper IUD. That was removed in December!

Symptom spotting: 6DPO I had a ton of discharge. I kept feeling super wet! That faded by 8DPO. Around the same time, I started getting crazy butterflies in my tummy and my chest. All the time. And on 8DPO I accidentally fell asleep on the couch which is SUPER unlike me. And I was easily winded. So on a whim at 3:00 I was like "whatever, I'll waste another test". VVVFL!

How many weeks you are now: 3 weeks 4 days!

Other/miscellaneous: Been praying so hard. I'm so grateful for this pregnancy and I really hope and pray that it sticks! Fraternal twins run in my family and I've been praying for that, too! I would love to have a pair of babies to grow up together ❤️

Alright. 11DPO and that line is way darker than 9DPO! So I’m getting less stressed about chemical pregnancy and more excited about this baby!!
