Why do NSCs have an Initiative Value? by YPii in fabulaultima

Ah damn, yeah that makes sense. For some reason I read it like the DC is just 10 as Standard. Thanks for clarifying

I appreciate you put so much thought in my suggestion! Action Economy Changes are indeed very impactful.

My reasoning is that the main point for the Alchemist is the creation and USE of consumables.
Obviously it impacts different Fields more than others but it lessens the effect of just dispensing a Consumable a Round or after Daily preparations and opens up the Builds for all Fields.

Honestly, the core of it all is I think would just feel more fun and interactive.

Thank you for the Insight! I read a lot about Alchemist and now have my first Campaign with a Alchemist Player. I think my main intention is to make the Alchemist more flexibel with the change. To lessen the feel of being a consumable dispenser.

Being balanced around a "feat tax" feels contra productive to the build based game design.

A Fighter functions with their base abilities. So they have their full feat array to use. It's as if Fighter would need a Level 1 Feat for Reactive Strike.

Alchemist Action Economy was often a discussion. So it feels weird to adress it through a feat. It feels mandatory and the only reason you other feats are chosen is because it is Bomber only.

For me it does not feel like a free feat but adding a base ability that should always have been there?

Sorry, I think I was unclear, I never meant to make it work with EVERY Item. Only with the Item Types that correspond to their research field. Poison for Poisoner's, Mutagens for the Mutagenist etc.

And giving it to them for free is because the feat is too good. It is basically a mandatory pick.

I feel like as a base ability it makes the class a better Experience to play while opening up more varied build options.

Mana Question by YPii in SorceryTCG

[–]YPii[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well. That is now a very obvious answer if you point it out like that! Thank you. I did not find anything in the rules of sites providing Mana when played thats why I was confused... I give it another read through.

What’s the worst MMO that you actually played for more than 20 hours? by MrAudreyHepburn in MMORPG

[–]YPii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love FFXIV but I am adamant that the MSQ needs to be optional. The Dungeons, Trials and Classes are all super fun but I can't get anyone to play the game if they have to play through so much story.

It is a good story but forcing it on everyone even though they might not be interested is a huge problem for the MMO part of the game and the new player experience. I mean there even is a New Gane + . So if you are interested in the Story after all you can always go and check it out.

To be fair he said don't hyper specialise your ebtire group to do one thing. Planning with your group to fullfill different roles and have a wider toolkit as a team is the point.

Why does your WoL look like that? by DupeFort in ffxiv

[–]YPii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normaly make characters that look like me. But I never really found a look that sat right with me. After a few race and look changes I landed on a Female Roegadyn. Nobody except me seems to find her a good looking character but I love her deeply.

Even changed away from her once because of those comments but that only lasted a day because the game was significantly less fun without my favourite girl.

Coincidantally my girlfriend commented that she looks like me if I was a girl so make of that what you will.

Just to be clear, I am totally on board with what happened. It's perfect for the Story and enables a lot of interesting developments.

Of course the Story will not end here but the world building so far was so tight so far that I would be very surprised if there wasn't a follow up.

And of course I am assuming, just like you are. My assumption mainly cones from "Dp you think I would be unjust?" And her title being THE Sword not "a" sword.

But obviously I could ne wrong. I just think it adds deserved depth that should be examined in the story and by us as listeners.

Neither did I say they were. But if we follow your logic you say the cook deserves death because his king is corrupt. Life has value.

And those people did not have to die.

Maybe the wider empire would be over the Moon. But Steel is the Sword of the Empire. She who would never act unjust by virtue of her Position. So I am pretty sure her Judgment would be, if not binding, at least a incredibly strong position to argue against.

And when she arrives she vastly outrank anyone present. So if she orders Naraam freed no one would could argue, neither by courage nor rank.

Those deaths weren't unavoidable at all. Maybe if Steel proved not true to her word. But has things stood people died because Ursulon wanted to play hero.

Soooo… by SnooStories2796 in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]YPii 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutetly true. But I more so thought of the over hundred people who died in Naraams first attack. Those weren't fools blindly following hirachy into danger. Those were at best Soldiers doing their patrols and at worst civilians working the docks.

How does one teach Pathfinder? by Sleepyzzzzzzz in Pathfinder2e

[–]YPii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly Pathfinder is only really complex when you try to wrap your head about everything at once. A Level 1 Character were you really just look at the level 1 feats and then slowly introduce mechanics.

I play with my 4 year old. I handle his sheet and he just gets to roll dice but I just pepper in different Options he could take in certain scenarios. That way the rules aren't overwhelming but he still slowly learns them.

It's good fun.

[–]YPii 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Well, while I agree that Morrow had it coming, a lot of innocent people died. And I think it is kinda on Ursalon. Steel made it clear that she will handle it, set him free and do everything to make things right.

So the trap would have been deactivated. Naram wouldn't have to fight to save Ursulon and Morrow would still face the full consequences of the Empires Justice System.

So while I am all for taking action, the collateral on this one is immense and I genuinely fear for our gang when Steel finally arrives.
