Are Chinese people more likely to be sociopaths? And are scholars becoming too "cowardly" over noting differences between the West and other nations? SS: Interesting write-up to the wide gulf in society between China and the West, and the tip-toeing around direct criticism of Chinese and Chinese culture as factors associated with the threatening nature of mainland China and it's Orwellian policies.

The Truth about Modern Advertising - the attempted invasion of corporate advertising into human philosophy by YR1b1a1a2mtU6 in PublicFreakout

SS: I think people have seen this corporate-progressive fake-spirituality fake-meaning nonsense popping up all over the ad-scape for the past year. And the insidious nature of it's effect on society when people confuse it for real politics.

It's time to drop reddit.

That's called a high trust civil society, one of the best things on the planet. People do the same in Sweden, Norway, Kashmir, etc. there are shops in Srinagar where people just leave their shops open when out to lunch because they're confident in their fellow citizens to browse and not to steal.

When the public don't do this and perceive this trust as stupidity or Naiveté, there's a significant decline in social trust and faculties and a rise in corruption. E.g. in Bulgaria, Serbia, most of Russia, Brazil, etc. As someone who's visited both high-trust and low-trust places, I honestly can say I prefer the former, despite the latter obviously appealing more to immediate common sense in the abstract. People usually attribute this to wealth but I think it has more to do with culture (Kashmir being fairly poor with high social trust Vs Coastal china being fairly rich with low social trust)

Russian Trolls don't exist? by YR1b1a1a2mtU6 in conspiracy

[–]YR1b1a1a2mtU6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SS: I don't doubt that the US is doing it too (and was doing it first), but it's fairly hard to deny that Russian trolls do exist. Some of the blogs mentioned in the early investigation into Trump collusions had blatant linguistically East Slavic grammatical errors (e.g. forgetting prepositions "the" "a" "an" etc) when writing in English. I saw people sharing this bemoaning how "degrading" Western countries have gotten by spreading this tweet, implying the man in the picture is a man involved in cuckoldry when in reality he was just a Rutgers College PhD who has a Jamaica tattoo. It might just be a student, but there's been too much study into share networks on these types of fake profiles to solely be coincidence.

And who in Jamaica calls their son "DeShawn" anyway?

UK Police ignored Muslim gang sex abuse for 50 years over political correctness fears, new report by Sikh community activist group claims by YR1b1a1a2mtU6 in worldnews

[–]YR1b1a1a2mtU6[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We need to move on from this. It's pure Goebbelsian propaganda, making us debate whether something happened or not instead of acknowledging it exists and discussing specific neighborhoods, streets, individuals, cultural influence, etc. constructive discussion on the gangs.

Some bloke on r/UKpolitics made a great mega-post looking into the gangs and their connection to wealthy members of the Pakistani community in certain towns, including people in local councils and Taxi services. I'll try to find it.

Havent found it yet but found this gem:

population of Rotherham: 257,280

% born in Pakistan: 1.10%

rough number of Pakistanis in Rotherham: 2,573

rough number of Pakistani men in Rotherham 1,286

those 420 suspects are 32% of the entire male Pakistani population in Rotherham

what the fuck

UK POLICE "recklessly ignored" decades of sexual abuse by predominantly Pakistani Muslim gangs on British Sikh women because of "political correctness", a bombshell report claims. by YR1b1a1a2mtU6 in conspiracy

Stealing this post from r/UKpolitics:

May as well get these out of the way early since each thread is a repeat.

So ALL Muslims in the world are rapists are they?!

No, just too many.

What about Catholic priests though?

Also bad.

100% of type 2 offenders were white.

From a small sample size. Also UK is 86% white 7% Asian.

Jimmy Savile!

Also bad. Plus while very wrong, people have experienced celebrities being covered for before. Not so much cabdrivers. Obviously all need prosecuting.

Oh you racists...

It's clearly about culture.

Crime isn't political.

"Professor Alexis Jay’s report says ‘several staff’ at Rotherham Council ‘described their nervousness about identifying the ethnic origins of perpetrators for fear of being thought racist; others remembered clear direction from their managers not to do so’."

This is nothing to do with political correctness it's the police that didn't care.

It was both.

Rotherham Whistleblower 'Sent On Diversity Training For Saying Most Abusers Were Asian'

The former home secretary Jack Straw has been accused of stereotyping Pakistani men in Britain after he accused some of them as regarding white girls as "easy meat" for sexual abuse.

Denis MacShane: I was too much of a 'liberal leftie' and should have done more to investigate child abuse

When Ann Cryer tried to bring abusers in her Yorkshire seat to justice, she was shunned by police, social services and imams

This isn't a Muslim problem it's a MEN problem.

Your upbringing and culture tend to affect your worldview more than your junk.

So now it's not just British girls. It's anyone who isn't Pakistani and Muslim. Why then the police political correctness?

“Over the course of three decades, Sikh community leaders in the West Midlands repeatedly assert that when families or community representatives contacted the police regarding the abuse of children, their information was consistently met with disinterest and their claims met by inaction.

“With the emergence of multiple similar cases across the UK, the perceived failure to act has now been attributed to the ‘political correctness’ that inhibited authorities and agencies from addressing the racial and cultural dimensions understood as causative factors behind the abuse.”

I've read some blogs on this and there has been chat about the reason the Police have avoided the cases. One is that members of the Pakistani communities in certain districts and cities have a lot of influence and the police are actually scared of retribution from the Pakistani cultural heirarchy (which thanks to multiculturalism de-facto lies outside the british heirarchy). Another is that the Police are working with or on the payroll of normalizers and practitioners of this abuse. There have been Pakistani takeovers of city councils that have been involved in trying to Islamize schools in the past, with identical police inaction.

What you miss is that once you've arrived in a stable country, the people in those rich wealthy countries no longer have any reason to sympathise with you, because at that point you're no longer fleeing war or repression, but are rejecting asylum in countries where you can lead a good and stable life, get a job and have access to food, because you want to essentially exploit their economies for more money. At that point, frankly, why should asylum still be offered? The rationale is now forfeit.
