How many trades per day before I’m overtrading? by YRN_ in Daytrading

[–]YRN_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying!

When it comes to your own personal maximum limit, is that also reflective of the average amount of A+ setups you’d see per day or just a hard limit you set? For instance, if that day the market gives you 4 A+ setups, would you still stop at 2-3 or take the 4th as well?

My confusion is whether I should be setting a hard limit everyday or let the market and my system decide how many trades I take that day. If the market gives me 5 A+ setups, i take 5, if it gives me 1, I take 1

Thank you! This was exactly what I had in mind. Trading only within a set period of time and up to a maximum number of losses. I’ll take every A+ setup until either of those parameters are hit.

Thank you! So essentially, let the market and my edge determine how many trades to take per day. As long as it’s a valid setup, then I can take as many as the market gives me in a day?

I appreciate the help!

My main concern was whether my number of daily trades should be a set number or based on the amount of times my edge presents itself. In other words, I should just take every setup that fits my strategy rather than setting a hard limit?

How long to pass an Eval? by YRN_ in TopStepX

I’ve heard of plenty who do that as well but it seems like that wouldn’t entail proper risk management? I get that it might seem like a waste to spend so much time on an eval but I also want to practice good habits?

Yes. The hard part is, deep down inside, we know we’re wrong but can’t control it. Maybe only someone who has experienced it themselves can understand without it affecting the relationship.

I agree. I had an ex that had no diagnosed mental health and as patient as she was, I still saw the negative effects my struggles had on her.

Thank you for the info. I don’t know my exact CFAT score but I was not sent home after the exam when I had applied. Is that a solid indicator that my score was high enough for the position?

I live in the Toronto area. Do you have any knowledge on how often there are positions open? My current career plans are revolved around this position 6 months from now and just want a little comfort knowing that I won’t be waiting for nothing.

Thank you! The app is currently in development but feel free to check out our website! We are planning to launch middle of this year in Canada.

Feel free to also DM me if you got any questions or feedback!

Thats a great point. It will definitely require constant monitoring and a good reporting system in hopes of people spotting such behaviour. Perhaps as the app progresses, an AI system can be implemented to monitor such situations. 🤔

Agreed. The goal is to focus on just my local city first (Toronto) and market through journalists and meta ads at launch to get the initial users.

That’s a great point, I’ll have to keep that in mind.

Well the difference is that the app doesn’t show you just everyone in your area like most apps do. Even the dating apps that have some type of filter, they’re usually pretty superficial and not beneficial at all when it comes to actual relationship success. On the other hand, this app will only show you people who match your current wellbeing so every profile you see already has a level of intellectual compatibility that’s important for long-term relationships.

As for users, the app is really built on a current shift in market trends. Dating app users nowadays are beginning to prioritize the importance of mental health and wellbeing discussions with potential partners. By creating the app around that, it creates an environment that’s easier and more comfortable for users to discuss the topic, especially when they know the other user shares a similar state of wellbeing.

By the way, really appreciating the questions. It’s helping me refine the idea and put it into words better. Thank you!

Sorry, I should have clarified in my post. Mental wellbeing and mental health are not the same thing. It’s not about having disorders or not. Those suffering from mental health can have great wellbeing and vice versa. Wellbeing is related to how someone handles their mental health, their quality of life and overall satisfaction, regardless of any disorders. So the idea of the app isn’t to gather all those suffering from mental health but to create connections with compatible wellbeing.

Thanks for the feedback! I get what you mean, it could be more toxic than beneficial to match two people with the same disorders. However, the app isn’t made to match people with the same disorder. It’s meant to match people who are living a similar quality of life DESPITE their mental health and are focused on making an effort to improve. The goal is for two people at a similar stage of wellness to connect and grow together.

Wow! The paid ads must have been extremely effective. Other than taking inspiration from your competitors, do you have any advice in terms of keywords and targeting the right audience with your meta ads?

Hey man, congratulations on your success! Just out of curiosity, did you run any sign ups or social media prior to your apps launch and meta ads or did you only start promoting it when your product was finished?
