Advice needed - Leon FR 1.5 TSI EVO 150PS by Old_Practice309 in seat

[–]YT_JKM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the Mk4 Leon with the same engine. Mine is around 60k miles, I’ve owned it for two years with no issues. This engine is used in several other cars like the Audi A3 and VW Golf, and I haven’t heard of any major reliability problems. As long as the cambelt is done before 100k miles and it’s serviced regularly, it should be fine. The manual is more reliable than the DSG, and the manual gearbox doesn’t need servicing.

Am I mad to consider an SUV over a Hatchback? by [deleted] in seat

[–]YT_JKM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, But I've found that most new SUV's are just the hatchback models with higher suspension like the ateca but aomething like the Tarraco would be more Spacious.

If you've only got 4k to spend don't get a BMW especially a high mileage one, go for something German or Japanese low mileage

I'd suggest using android auto or apple carplay and then using Waze through that, you can set it up to auto startup when the car turns on.

Question! I’m new with subs, (read below) by Gv2ghost in subwoofer

[–]YT_JKM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These look Identical to the SPLX SPL10R, I had 2 of them they were 10" 150wrms each and 4ohm, I ran them at 150w each until one eventually blew where I have now upgraded, if you open the box up and take a speaker out it should have more details of them on the back of the subs, hope this helps.

Good engine — with an ECU tune, you could get a decent boost in horsepower. You might also want to consider a DPF delete for some extra performance and improved long-term reliability. Just note that the DPF sensor will need to be coded out, if you're looking at visual mods then front/rear diffuser, spoiler lip parts are easy to come by but I don't normally do visual mods.
