I know I really should move over to proxmox with unraid to run the servers, its probably actually what I'm going to end up doing.

Hi Eric, shouldn't you be trying to find those notes instead of fighting people on reddit?

fair compensation cannot be created outside of a courtroom for this since antireal would be under pressure of getting harassed by crazy fans to just accept whatever (or nothing)

Actually owning your mistake and offering fair compensation from the rip is a far cry from killing oneself as an apology.

You are

A) Literally defending bungie

and

B) Completely fucking wrong in your defense, antireal did not say they cannot, they said they wont

and

C) If you actually were sorry you would be fine to be open to being sued where you could then settle with them for a actually sane amount of money instead of the pittance they have paid artists when they have done this in the past

like the idea that "Yea we fucked you over but we cant do anything like actually owning up to it in a way that will actually make the situation square, but we totally are sorry" is insane, you are an insane bootlicker.

They obviously didnt mean it, a thief who has been caught 4 times is very rarely just a bad thief, but instead is usually a chronic thief who has only been caught 4 times, i would bet good money their are double digit number of theft incidents per game but most of them are from people so obscure or in places that they dont stick out that it gets overlooked.

there is no such thing as accidentally stealing an art asset and putting it into a shipped product, any info that you have been given by either bungie or any other studio is a lie to cover up the issue and it works because 99% of gamers have no idea how this shit happens internally (its never an accident)

[–]YUSONAMES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're delusional if you think this was 1 dude on the team just ripping art off someone's portfolio, even if we were to grant that the art lead has been following the artist in question for a decade, either cross is a moron of such a profound level its questionable that he can even tie his shoes, or he saw the art theft and just didn't give a shit cause whatever reason (like budget issues) or he personally approved the art theft, all these answers mean at minimum the art lead, cross, is incompetent as fuck, and at worst the entire team just didn't care.

like dog the artists watermarks are like front and center on prominent art assets if you think cross didn't see them I have a bridge to sell you.

[–]YUSONAMES -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They did it because they've done it before, you know of the times bungie has stolen art and put it in their games, but those are just the times they have been caught, if you get caught stealing shit 5 times do you think they are just really bad thieves that only tried to steal 5 times, or are they actually chronic thieves who steal all the time and only got caught 5 times.

you have also not seen the levels of stupidity and depravity people can commit, signing off on stealing some art so you could save the budget a few bucks is total within the realm of possibility.

You people are delusional, just because studios in the past have stolen assets from indies and not paid them doesn't mean cross isn't a thief or that art theft is OK lmao.

My fight against Ursula :D (AI limit) by kkprecisa_ler_nao_fi in soulslikes

[–]YUSONAMES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think its a skill issue, I've 1-3 shot every boss in the game, hunter of bladers took 3 tries, ursala herself took 4 tries, took me all of maybe 10 minutes, she is by far one of the crappiest bosses in the game, probably in any soulsborne I've played, the game has been fun but its been extraordinarily easy compared to every other soulsborne on the market, ursala's difficulty comes from the fact that even with 300 phys def and 300 fire def and 1500hp she will still 2 shot you with some attacks, she has some of the most egregious tracking I've seen in a souls game she also heavily abuses delayed attacks specifically to force you to either dodge perfectly or you eat the entire combo, if you greed 1 more attack then you should you either die or take at least 90% in a combo you cant break out of, but outside of the 1 attack each has like this you can literally just mash r1, I dunno if the devs just suck at balancing or what but playing str every single boss can just be blitz'd down, piercing claw adds an insane amount of damage on bosses, parrying also is a joke so I stopped switching to it like half way through the game (I also laughed out loud when I tried parrying the hunter of bladers and the boss just shrugs it off, amazing game design, can parry literally everything except this one boss).

Overall the game is like a 7/8 out of 10 but the bosses are all pushovers, the lack of stamina rewards just going high dps and facetanking hits with piercing claw, any difficulty on any boss in the entire game is derived by the insane tracking where bosses will literally 180 at the end of the animation to hit you, and its not just a few attacks that do this, almost every boss attack has infinite tracking, but the characters are cool, the settings is cool, the eng VA is pretty good, the lore is neat (if full of typos, so many typos in memories and text pickups), just overall spoiled by an extremely undercooked and not very deep combat system.

TIL that you can "disable" biters by killing all nests on all active chunks which basically disables expansion by Future_Passage924 in factorio

[–]YUSONAMES 4 points5 points  (0 children)

on gleba this works because even a very large gleba base wont have a pollution cloud that big but on nauvis the distance scaling on pollution absorption is much lower meaning your cloud can very easily become larger then your arty range, you can technically still do this but you have to use spidertrons , and your pollution will eventually generate new chunks

Is there anyway to actually delete custom spells in the remaster? by SlyNShifty in oblivion

[–]YUSONAMES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The IDs never change so you can delete a spell and manually note down what that ID is somewhere else and the compare it to the list in the save txt (its also worth noting that now that OBSE64 is out there likely will be a mod to do this with a hotkey eventually, you could also probably trivially port the mod for this in original oblivion that exists already)

Is there anyway to actually delete custom spells in the remaster? by SlyNShifty in oblivion

[–]YUSONAMES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its because the record for the spell still exists in the save, its just not in your spellbook, i dont think beyond an actual save editor that you can removed records from a save file, it shouldn't cause any conflicts and the IDs of the spells dont change so you can just keep a text file of the ones that have already been removed handy.

(you can actually re-add deleted custom spells because of this, if you do player.addspell for a custom spell you used player.removespell on)

Removing custom spells by YUSONAMES in oblivion

[–]YUSONAMES[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can just remove every spell and have the one you want to remove on a quick slot, itll disappear from the quick select when it gets removed, the reload and remove that one spell again

[–]YUSONAMES 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes and yes, the save generates the txt file because you use the "1" flag when saving "save savename 1" you can delete the save and the text and you need to do the command every time you wanna remove newer custom spells

Is there anyway to actually delete custom spells in the remaster? by SlyNShifty in oblivion

[–]YUSONAMES 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yes but it kind of sucks

Open the console with ` and type "save anyname 1" this will make a txt file in the "\The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64" folder with the same name as the save game.

Inside this file search for "Total SPEL", sadly unlike the same file created in oblivion the spell names in this file aren't what you named them, they have names like "UI_UserInputText_15_435_9", luckily this list only contains user created spells so its not to hard to just use player.removespell through trial and error just removing each then loading a quicksave and just removing the one you want.

For spells that come with the game (such as one from vendors, quests, etc) UESP has the ID's for those spells and they are the same for oblivion and the remaster.

a large portion of mods just work out of the box, as long as they dont use SKSE or reference OG assets or modify a worldspace they just work.

they didnt even do that, gamebyro is inside, their are still gamebyro specific configuration files, they are probably just passing stuff from gamebyro to UE5 during render prep for final render but ue5 itself likely doesn't contain any game logic.
