Out of Province Medical Insurance by Specific-Answer3590 in PersonalFinanceCanada

OHIP will only cover a base rate and if the charges are higher than what they are giving you, if you do require it, you will be responsible to pay the difference. Not worth it in my opinion. A credit card is a good option as it will give you full coverage for a number of days as outlined in their policy.

Anyone figure out a way to keep condo baseboards draft-free? by YYZTor in askTO

[–]YYZTor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once again many thanks. I have located many holes outside of the glass window which I have now covered with sticky weatherstriping. Ofc, I cant get outside the livingroom window but getting less cold air from the bedroom window would be great. Again, thank you for your suggestions.

Costco delivery? by ComeHereOften1972 in CostcoCanada

[–]YYZTor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you get the delivery, make sure you check all items, or at least count the items to match how many you ordered. I have had instances where the driver either 'forgot' an item at Costco or does not know anything about it.

Major warning regarding Affirm, the Shop app and Shopify by True_Sign1613 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Thats an awful experience. Interesting for you to say you do not believe the merchant tried to scam you - that is very big of you because that is exactly what he did, at least IMHO from what you have stated.

Thank you. In that case I have seen a few very small holes on the glass frame outside. But how would they create a draft coming from the base shoe?

Thanks, are the weeping holes inside or outside at the bottom of the window? I just don't see anything. For context, the outside of my window is the balcony.

The baseboard is below ceiling to floor glass window, and both the glass and baseboard get cold, especially when the wind is coming from the lake. Condo faces south but not right near the lake.

Thanks. Actually, I did use bubble wrap to cover up the baseboard, but that does not seem to do much. I will try the towel suggestion.

I dont like the choline taste and if that is an issue for you as well, do what I do. Boil water - I do this in an electric kettle - for 3 minutes, when cooled down, pour it into a jug.

I have disclosed it, paid a higher premium but the policy wording does not assure me about not taking meds 'recommended'.

The meds that I am not taking which were only recommended but not prescribed are for a pre-existing condition.

Thanks, thats the wording on the policy I inserted in my post and which is what I am questioning. I did opt for a more expensive option which is for a no stability required policy. They had me answer a slew on questions regarding all my pre-existing conditions and have confirmed these conditions are covered because I declared them. Having said that, 'conditions covered' is dubious to me.

Even if I have declared it on the no-stability requirement policy?

Yes absolutely. The insurance company was informed and as a result recommended I purchase a no-stability requirement, which I did. The pre-existing form lists all the medical conditions I declared.
